This is worse than the NFL. At least in the NFL you are bound to a team by your contract. In college you can move to another school as every year.
You know, I really don't want to read about the makeup and dealings of Drew Rosenhaus. He's a Scott Boras wannabe, which translated means greed at the highest level, now capitalizing on high school children (and at the expense of sports fans). Like so many other things these days, there just don't seem to be any boundaries. Go Dawgs!

The man is a predator. He just guided a 16 year old kid to Miami over OSU, Oregon, and UGA. Any of those three rejected schools would have been better for the young man’s football development and future. The greed factor is ruining college sports. But as we say, “Follow the money!”
Having said all that, I’m thankful Kirby has enough sense to not pay a high school kid $2,000,000 before he enters the 12th grade. Think about how absolutely wacko that is. Wow! I’m in favor of giving athletes some spending money in addition to free education, room, board, and books. But millions of dollars? It’s crazy and teaching the wrong values to our young people.
But its still not about the money, i believe that as much as i believe pigs can fly..
Cantrell told Jeff the 4 schools had similar offers, which was a lie. He had no intention to come to Georgia and everything he did was about getting more money from Miami. Lying POS

Sounds like a lo iq situation. You knew it was about the money. Going to a weaker school, w a con qb, mediocre coaching and a lesser everything. Gone are the days of doing it for fun...the rosenhouses of the world have royally jacked up our once fun sport, of course the ncaa opened the door. Enjoy mediocrity in miami. Thanks
Rosenhaus has failed Cantwell and his dad….like a successful used car salesman, he sold a car with a shiny wax job for dependable transportation……a 2.5 mil wax job, ignoring the benefits of a transporting environment that will set parameters and expectations that will foster growth and development leading to a golden opportunity at the next level plus benefiting Cantwell financially. Like the used car salesman, Rosenhaus was totally motivated by the Benjamins and that's what he sold…quick cash before Cantwell sets foot on a college practice field or plays against competition that will be as big and strong and probably more motivated…..just so they can say I pancaked the HS Pancake King! If it were up to me, It would be…HELL NO, you don't get a dime until you demonstrate your dedication to the TEAM, the coaches, the school you represent, your work to become elite….not only at the position you like but other positions in case you are needed, your ability to surrender your personal glory for the benefit of your Teammates and you unwavering, undefeatable desire to win every snap, every game, every season……..after all that, you will have EARNED every penny someone is willing to pay.
Paying kids who have never played a snap at the college level is a roll of the dice at best. The best way to fix it is to make it an equal amount for all Freshman and the pay increases after that based on performance. $2.5 million may sound great, but this kid better back it up fast or he'll be the poster boy for how ridiculous this whole thing really is. And if they leave to go anywhere else, they pay back what's left on their contract.
He is what he does. Wasting the whole coaching staff a weekend and leading them on. It’s one thing to compare/evaluate and another to use one school to get what you want from another. Good for him to get that money but don’t pretend he’s not a POS.
