The folks at ESPN care little about the University of Georgia. Their prognostications about us is of little interest to me. Conner, a running back can make or break an offence only if he is an exceptional artist at his trade and possesses great power, quickness, and speed. Todd Gurley is a perfect example of this and, in his prime, was a force who could change the outcome of a game. Nick Chubb is another. Nate Frazier is not in this category. A great running game is produced by excellent play in your offensive line.

That O line has to man up. Can they?

In fact, I hope the O Line is reading this. I have more doubts about our offensive line than I had about last years wide receivers. All year.

there’s no doubt in my mind every OL on our roster checks DN on the regular to see what we say about them.

And, don't forget little Knowshon Moreno. Probably would've set the world on fire, himself...if Richt hadn't Redshirted him in his Freshman year.

Richt, once said...that (RS'ing Knowshon) was his biggest mistake, while coaching UGA. No telling what he could've done…or, where the Dawgs would've finished the 2006 season, with Him in the rotation.

They lost to both Kentucky...and Vanderbilt.…and finished 4-4 in the SEC….before beating #5 Auburn and #15 Ga Tech, to finish off the season. Also, winning their Bowl Game against UV?. Not bad...but, not great. I think that was "The Joe Cox Year". Lol

The key to an effective running game is the OL. The key to a great running game is the OL and very good backs. We don’t really know exactly what we’ve got in both categories, but I expect the OL to be better this year. Yep, I’m aware we had three OL drafted. However, I was not impressed with their run blocking last season with Ratledge being the possible exception. IMO, the main problem with our OL is the OL coach. We’re pretty good at RB, although I hated to see Branson Robinson transfer.
Might be a good idea on running plays to just get low and block the guy in front of you. Apparently, we think it’s more effective to get higher and block someone other than the guy in front of us. Weird. Of course, just a touch of imagination in play calling would also be helpful. If I can predict the next play more than half the time, I’m pretty sure the opposing coaches can do it more often

it was the three headed QB year of Tereshinski, Stafford and Cox

Lucy, you often take the words out of my mouth, agreeing with you 90% of the time. But not sure about this one. Yes, OL is absolutely essential to any decent run game and RB. But if I understand you correctly, I think you're underselling Frazier. Last year's OL was a massive disappointment, especially the run game. I'm not necessarily saying Frazier is Gurely or Chubb caliber… after all, that's pretty rare air... but I think he can be a really special back and open a butt-ton of eyes if the OL gets back to road grading. Go Dawgs!

Lol...that's right...I forgot about the Coach's son, Tereshinski. What a quarterback room. Everybody knew going in, that neither quarterback was up to par.

I still remember that lame-ass interception Cox threw....right into the arms of a lonely linebacker, with no UGA jersey in sight. If I remember correctly. Sad year all around, as it was Willie Martinez's 2nd season....and, the offense was in rebuild mode.

I'll never understand what made CMR think he was gonna keep Moreno around for 4 yrs. Lol

I would be grateful to have another back that could come in all season and not get hurt. I think we all need to bring down our expectations of Bo Walker. He is a freshman, has not even gone through a serious bloody Tuesday yet. I am with others, Frazier is our bell cow and if he and Rod Rob can be healthy all year, we can finally have a run game to be excited about. If they put up good numbers then the offense will be wide open.
