When texas comes to Sanford stadium on November 15th over the loud speakers and they ought to bring MORE on that weekend should be BLAREING For the love of money by The O'Jays, MONEY (that's what I want) by Barret Strong, Money by Pink Floyd . GO DAWGS

For a guy who isn't a DAWG, picking UGA the past 4 years to win the NC shows he does know a little something. Wouldn't you think? He's just a little gun shy because he has picked us the last two and it didn't pan out. Texas with Arch is the easy/sexy pick, I get it. . We just have to bring him back into the fold. Talk with our helmets!

If Simpson is no more mobile than I think he is the Dawgs D is gonna EAT when Bama comes to Athens. I believe there will be payback in that game. The team that I have heard some say being overlooked is Oklahoma. They had that HUGE win against Bama late in the year and should be much improved everywhere. Texas and Bama must play them, Bama gets them at home, Texas vs. OU in Dallas.

that will also be Ty Simpson’s (or whoever is the Bama starting QB) first road start. In Athens. With a fanbase HUNGRY for a win against Bama.

Lol....ya don't get off Secretariat or War Admiral...just cause they lost a couple races. They're still thoroughbreds with winning genes....regardless of that most recent results.

I would argue, that UGA is gonna be UGA, no matter what year it is....as long as Kirby Smart runs his program, his way. Not many Programs can say that.

Bama is teetering on the precipice...and Texas is the newbie on the scene. As someone on an earlier post pointed out...."Texas hasn't won a darned thing, yet.

And, Texas gets the benefit of the doubt...why, exactly? Cause their benefactors have a few fingers on the heart-strings of Corporate Media?. ESPN is part of that Corporate Media that caters to certain teams FAR more than others. Must be some kind of reason for that...huh?.$$$ LOL

Go git er done Big G!!! May good luck & good health pave the way. 'Bout time yall had some. Lol

@railroadtrack1 Unlike Lincoln Riley @USC....Venables has actually tried to built a team....Not buy a team. And, from what I'm hearing and seeing...he's been 10x more successful. Lol....poor ole Lincoln. Hell...poor ole USC.

I agree...Oklahoma's defense is gonna make them "Dangerous", to anybody they play. It'll give the Sooner Offense time to gel...and get some early Season seasoning.

That's also what the Dawgs will have going for themselves, with new players to break in, at virtually every skill position on offense.

But, of course.…imo...Shumann's Defense & Bobo's Offense is much better constructed…and further along, than poor ole Oklahoma. Oh well....that's a Game for another time. Like the Postseason! Lol

Lmao....you just DON'T joke with some people about recruiting. Lol...that's some serious bid'ness right there. Losing a recruiting battle, can be worse than losing a Natty.

Btw...I didn't like the joke much, either....but, I still gave you an UP VOTE to cancel out the recruiting hound you offended. Lol

Guarantee you, there's a line of blue chip athletes on cold standby for "Kirby's School of Football". Hoping...no....Praying, for an opening at their particular position, in Athens. Meanwhile....most of those "cold standby's" have committed to other teams, rather than get stranded when the music stops.

Afterall....a player has a minimum of 4 yrs. That's 4 opportunities to transfer to any school they want. On the "flip" side, a HC has 4 opportunities to "flip" a player...('scuse the pun). I'm just sayin'.…nowadays, Nothing is set-in-stone. Lol

imo...A lot can happen, between now and the "Early Signing Period". And, I expect it will. Lol...as it does, almost every year at UGA.

I would caution the hardcore Bammer's, not to get too comfortable with those recruits we loaned ya, cause...."There's many a slip...twixt the cup and the lip". See ya in September. Go Dawgs!!!!

BigDawg61—Thanks for your understanding of my comment. It actually wasn't just a "joke". It was a comment on the sorry state of college football recruiting and dealing with NIL. If recruiting becomes nothing but a money game, Texas is truly the motherlode. I always enjoy your comments.

True. But, also true…is the fact that there are at least 300 to 400 "potentially great" [highly ranked], High School football players available to CFB, every year.

Unlike the days of "Dooley and The Bear"…..CFB Programs are limited in the number of players they can have on roster. I.e, Texas, Bama, OSU, USC, ND & Oregon can only sign so-many players to add to their incoming roster.

Since everybody is splitting the talent up fairly equally.…there's only one way to gain an edge. Hard Work and Focus from the Coaching Staff...complete buy-in from the players...and "flawless execution" on the Football Field, from both players, and coaches.

Imo....You don't try to out-flash em with a dazzling display of individual talent [ala, Lincoln Riley]. That's lazy AND an ineffective strategy in acquiring a Championship Ring.

You want to out-execute em and beat em up, physically....as a team...and individually. See the hit on Marvin Harrison Jr....And the 2021 defense.

Those flashy players are good for an occasional big play....but, in between, they get their butts kicked. By the end of the game...against a physical, fast defense...they're worthless. Lol....again,see Marvin Harrison Jr in the back of the OSU endzone (2022).

The biggest problem I see, with the current system....is, the negative impact on depth. That will force HC's like Smart and Lanning to adjust their game, to compensate for the lack of depth-protection.

The more physical a team plays....the more likely they are to, have to go to the bench at some point.....to cover for injuries & fatigue.
