I think the young line will be fine in the running game. Micah is a road grader and if Juan Gaston plays the other guard, he will, as Drew Bobo said, engulf his man. To me the question is how well will the tackles protect Gunner.

Great news! I have been eagerly waiting patiently for Rod to recover and show us what he can do. We've seen glimpses of his Derrick Henry type bruiser running style, and that is exactly what we need alongside Frazier. Bring in McCray and Bowens, and as long as these guys stay healthy then one or two of them could have breakout seasons. Now we just gotta have that O-line be up for the task of blocking effectively.

Beating Alabama is the key to a good v. a great season.

Absolutely took my thoughts @MontanaDawg. I have been rooting for Rod Rob since I saw his highlights in HS, and we signed him. His blend of power and speed to hit the hole is rare, and when he gets going, he is a load to bring down. I also agree with that, as healthy as running backs are, it will still be up to the ferocity and nastiness of the blocking that helps our run game. But I do feel like Kirby is on a mission this year to get back to where were were on both sides of the ball. I honestly believe that last year left an awful taste in his mouth. I think Kirby is on a mission to erase that taste. This year and future years.

IMO, it’s more about commitment to building an offensive identity. We’ve got the talent every year to support a stronger than average run game.

@MikeGriffith Excellent and exciting read Mike !! Thank You !! Like many of my fellow Dawgs have already posted I’m super excited to see R.Rob back and fully healthy !! He’s a Beast when he’s fully healthy. And as the article showed there are So Many great options at RB !! That room is loaded with talent !!

And from recent reads I’m beginning to have more and more faith in the O Line. If the RBs and O Line play good ball Gunner will be a happy man and thus I believe He will have a better game. Though inexperienced Puglisi has huge potential and Montgomery behind him. I Believe this team will be very solid on O. And I Believe the Defense will be an attacking havoc wreaking unit. So to sum it all up………..Go Dawgs !!

Aw Man !! It’d be a thing of awesome beauty to see our Dawgs pound the opposing Defense to pieces with the run game until they’re gassed then sting their eyes out with a beautiful pass !! Rushing TDs, Passing TDs, Defensive Take Away TDs !! Am I excited ?? Oh Yeah !!!! Go Dawgs !!

His loss was big last year. UGA lacked a down hill guy last year. Turf toe is tough to come back from. Ask Deion. I hope he can stay healthy. All of them.

The OL is key. I'm not sure I wouldn't batter the D with a steady diet of 240 lb McCray, 235 lb RRob and 225 lb Bowens. Then bring in Frazier's speed and watch the D try to catch him.

and don’t forget Bo Walker who is gonna be able to come out of the backfield hard to see and a small target to tackle.

If the OL is right it will be very tough to stop the run game

Totally agree !! Walker is gonna be a strong factor in the run game over the course of the season. Like the old saying he’s built like a fire plug !! Low to the ground, powerful, slippery, hard to tackle. The more I read about the RB room the more excited I am about the season !! A powerful run game just makes the pass game all the better. I wonder do the naysayers like a little butter on their crow ? 🤣

It has been quite a while since we had a strong running game. Would be a great addition.
