Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

That would be a good alternative to 70-0 blowouts by the starters playing 3.5 quarters, yet I still would hope Kirby's 2's and 3's would be more physical and better conditioned to overcome and experience edge of the opponents to put some scoring drives together as well.
I agree with all here who have said they want to see Stockton out in the 3rd quarters of those first games after scoring sufficiently. It does not take a 5* opponent to fall on a knee or an ankle and send the Dawgs' season down a bad path.
In Kirby I trust, if he decides this will be a run the ball down their throats or a air raid I don't care . What I am looking for is execution by the players in the game, few penalties or turnovers . And NO injuries ! And for the Love of All that is Holy ! Catch the dam ball !!
GO DAWGS!!!
Win by 40 or Win by 28, what's the difference! The easiest way for me to describe it, is "Supreme court Justice Potter Stewart's, quote about Art or Pornography, "I know it when I see it."
Past 2 seasons, we have won games by single digits, that we were favored by 3 TDs or even more! Should've lost two of those games last season, but won them anyway! Getting wrapped around the axle on point spreads, only matters to me, when I am betting on that game!
I care only for what we are shown by the Dawgs from one game, to the next!
I could write 5 paragraphs on what I pray we get to see and about 3 sentences on what will be bad news if we do!
Plain and simple, Marshall is in the triple digits of rankings, they can't even say, well, at least we are "Top 100", because they aren't!
BEATDOWN in all 3 facets of the game, no turn overs and single digit penalties! NO Frickin injuries!!!!
Wrap it up in a tiny bow and get ready for the next one!
I am not going to set myself up with delusions of grandeur, "It would be awesome if our OC finally gets it and just stops being so predictable! Nope, he is going to be predictable, lack luster and that is the horse we road in on!
Dominate, we will know if we see that or not!
Go Dawgs!
And for the Love of All that is Holy ! Catch the dam ball !!
Amen good sir……Amen!
Go Dawgs! Hate on E’rrbody!!!
Execution.. controlling BOTH lines of scrimmage.. domination over an opponent that you should. GO DAWGS!!!
Getting back into the swing of things myself, sorry to hear of your recent **** and great to hear of your rapid improvements. I was diagnosed with prostrate cancer last fall, seems to run in family as older brother diagnosed 4 years ago. I have had somewhat high psa counts for at least 15 years, have been under urologist care since then. My psa started going up noticeably again approx 2 years ago and urologist started doing biopsy then. It took the 3rd biopsy until he could definitely confirm cancer.
I was offered radiation treatments or wait and continue biopsys , if you have had prostrate biopsy you know why I opted for treatment. My choices were 40 treatments over 8 week period or 5 cyberknife treatments over 3 week period. I chose cyberknife and started February and finished in March. I definitely had side effects but would not hesitate to do again. I had my 1st test results early June and prognosis was good, retest in December.
Mainly posting for the old men in the group, if you do not get regular blood test, please do. If anyone has questions will answer to he best of my ability.
Continued prayers for you Don on your continued recovery.
Go Dawgs!
Wish you both the best and a rapid recovery! Go Dawgs!
Thanks for sharing. Glad you are doing OK. My recovery is going OK if a bit slower than I'd like. Just recently I found that I could approximate jogging - the old brain patterns coming back. Been working hard on the old agility ladder and it is helping. Current long term goals are (1) being able to get up from a cross-legged sitting position on the floor without using any aids - just getting straight into a standing position and (2) being able to skip rope again. Somehow the jumping/hopping/skipping patterns were MIA. My PT guys are great and I'm confident I'll be able to do it.
Hang in there!!
So glad to hear that both of you are on the road to recovery!
@philipsmith99 you were missed so I am glad to see you back! and thanks much for the advice on the bloodwork! If I could add one thing….my father passed from colon cancer a few years back. He never even knew he had an issue until he got symptoms from fourth stage colon cancer and by then it was too late
So my soap box is for everyone, male and female to start with your colonoscopy checkups when age appropriate…..it is one of the most insidious cancers and, yet, with proper and timely tests, is one of the most preventable.
To all my friends…
Go Dawgs!
All of y’all are awesome!!! GO DAWGS!!!
