Quote from your post: Sounds like he got a little coaching this off season. Based on how CBeck handled ND last night would lead you to believe UGA beats ND last year had he played.

OK no disrespect to you or Beck. I have no malice against Beck at all. I agree with your assessment that he got some coaching in the off season. But with the way the O Line was Allowing Gunner to get slaughtered, a mobile QB, I don’t see your reasoning that Beck would have fared better in That game last year. The circumstances were considerably different. And again with no disrespect to Beck he was struggling in the SECCG. Stockton came in, thrown in really due to injury and did quite well. No sarcasm at you but your comment is a bit of a sleight to Gunner. Beck and his team won by 3 pts. last night, that does not mean he would have succeeded against a more veteran ND last year.

I think the gauntlet that UGA had ran last year including playing in the SECCG ( keep in mind ND didn’t have the burden of playing in a conference championship) had worn the Dawgs down.

Just my opinion but with the way the O Line played in that game And receivers dropping balls I don’t think either Beck or Gunner would have won. Even if our Dawgs would’ve squeaked out a W it’s very possible they’d have lost the next game as they were just worn out, allot of injuries, they had played a horrendous schedule. ***** It looks like the SEC front office intends on doing all they can to Make Sure the Dawgs have a horrendous season each year. Sure appears that way. P.S. Gunner escaped some sacks yesterday at least two that a more pure pocket passer would probably not have escaped.

Announcers commented on how "Beck picked up the blitz" and got rid of the ball for a completion in the Mia/ND game. Beck would've seen what ND was doing before the snap and gotten rid of the ball/found the open man more than taking sacks/pressure. He would've checked out of bad plays like GS didn't do on the 3rd and 2 in the redzone. Instead, GS stayed with the play and handed off to ETN vs a stacked box . ETN was hit 2 yards behind the LOS and fumbled. Empty red zone trip.

GS was totally oblivious to the blind side sack/fumble before the half. His lack of pocket presence , due to inexperience, was evident on that play. That alone was a killer play. Sack you can survive and come back in the 2nd half. Sack/fumble/touchdown was a killer. A more experienced QB checks his blind side while dropping back.

Mia only won by 3 vs ND because Mia OC tried to run the clock out the whole 2nd half. That played in ND's hands. Short or no gain running on 1st and 2nd down. Forced to pass on 3rd and long vs a D that knows you have to pass. That is what allowed ND to come back. Beck hit 65% (20/31) threw 31 passes with 1 sack and 0 INTS vs ND.

ND also knew they could stack the box vs UGA w/GS at QB. Make UGA 1 dimensional and make an unproven guy beat you with the pass. GS didn't have enough experience and proficiency in the offense to execute enough of the offense to spread out the ND defense. That would not have happened with a healthy Beck at QB.

One of the most immobile QB's in NFL history has won 7 SB's. It is not how much time you have it is what you do (and see) with the time you have.
