“Both of those guys showed good progress yesterday,” Smart said. “I really like the way both of them looked. I like the reps they took. They’ll take more reps today and just see where they are. We’ve got to make a good judgment. Today and tomorrow are physical days for us, so we still get after it and we’ll find out where they are.”

It would be great if they can get both Gaston...and, Greene back for the Tennessee game. Particularly, Gaston...whom needs the work and experience.

If they don't show up.…it may force Smart to throw the ball more than he planned. Depends on the backups and their strengths...run blocking or pass blocking. Most linemen are stronger at one, than the orher.

Either way...Dawgs WIN this one easier than expected....imo. We'll see very soon, now.....which way it's gonna go for Tennessee.

Lol....a juggernaut passing game [high scoring]...or a smash mouth running game [Low scoring defensive battle]. It also depends on how Kirby wants to enter the BYE Week before Bama.

    Go Dawgs!!!

Barometer game. Hard to see who's who until after this one. I hope Gunner has his breakout here. That could be a launching pad for the season.

    "Barometer Game"?!

That's a great description for this one. Lol. It could be after the first BYE, before we see the Dawgs in their Full Dress Offense.

I'm gonna check Tennessee out on SECN tomorrow morning @10 to see what they have....with the sound turned off. Lol....despite scoring 70 points....from what I read, the quantity of "points & yards" Tennessee accumulated, had more to do with their opponent than them.

I just hope UGA escapes Knoxville, without significant injury. That place is like the Bermuda Triangle to the UGA Bulldogs....imo.

    Go Dawgs!!!

@BigDawg61 I'm with ya there. We can all shout at the rain about the Oline, Bobo, Searels, etc., but this game will tell us the tale. As always I'll be pacing the sidelines in my living room. Scottsdale is a long way from football country. Wish I was there. I've been to Neyland a number of times and it was always lots of fun. Once I thought a guy was pulling out his you know what and he was wearing a bladder around his waist. He was giving those around him a shot of bourbon. Much appreciated even from a Vols fan!

Lol....odd things always seem to happen there. From Mayo to Popcorn...and, players freak injuries to girls getting slapped on the sideline, by Bammers. And, some things that we'll probably never hear about.

It's entertaining....I'll give ya that. I haven't broken a remote control in a while...now that you mention it. Lol...that says more about the Dawgs performance than anything...to me. Lol

    Go Dawgs!!!

Yes, no doubt one of the more horrific injuries I’ve seen in a game….as bad as Marcus Rosemy jacsaint’s injury a few years ago.

Greene seems to be constantly injured…. Why are we having so many injuries on our OL the past two years. Conditioning? Training? Searles? Searles? I don't notice so many injuries on other SEC OL squads…

If the Tennessee game reveals an anemic offense, to me it will not reflect so much on Stockton but rather on our genius OC Mike Bobo and our OL coach Searles who has been passed around the NFL like an old Datsun pickup…. When will it dawn on our head ball coach that we need better coaches in these positions to return to the world of the "elite?" Elite teams need BOTH Jimmies and Joes plus Xs and Os…

Wasn't it the Tennessee game that both (Fr/QB) Eason...and, (SoRB) Chubb were lost for the season? Both, with knee/leg injuries?

I hate Knoxville for this game....but, love it for it's beauty and proximity to the "Pigeon Forge-Gatlinburg" area. I'm torn. Lol...and, the fishing.

it was Chubb in 2015 in Knoxville.

Eason got hurt against App State the first game of 2017.
