This guy epitomizes what makes a player a DGD. He is very, very flashy on the field and very humble of the field, praising the play of his teammates. He is the type of athlete that brings out the best in those players around him. UGA has had quite a few who are this type and hopefully will have more in the future.

I echo the comments of my fellow Dawgs fans here. Branch is indeed a DGD and rapidly becoming a star at UGA. If he continues at his current pace he could by seasons end become a legendary Dawg !! He was a great get from the TP !! Go Dawgs !!

What's wild is that I remember more than one person, commenting on this year's "portal haul," noting that Branch was less than dynamic or relevant to USC. This is not to call out those people at all; the numbers that were brought up were relevant. It's just to say that, given the right circumstances, cream can rise (and also that our coaches know what they're doing…).

Could you imagine Brock Bowers playing for any modern "finesse" team? Could you imagine Jordan Davis playing nose guard for Oregon?

There are so many great players that get recognized because of the systems within which they work; those ways of doing things highlight their abilities. There are also many great players that get OVERLOOKED because of the systems they're in.

I'm glad Mr. Branch is wearing the RED and BLACK this year. I have a feeling he is, too.
