The real star of Beck's demise was Jeff Brohm (and well coached DBs). I know he is a loyal Louisville alumnus, but I have thought for years that he is one of the very best of coaches. Penn State and Florida, are you listening?

I’m having a great weekend! UGA beat ole miss and the offense seems to be coming together. I just thought you literally posting the same time five times on five different threads was a little excessive. If it was some sort of mishap my apologies. But I’m having a fantastic weekend. No problems here either. It might have been a bit excessive and my apologies for being a nuisance. I use a smartphone so I don’t know if it’s the same on a tablet or desktop computer etc. But as articles are added eventually older ones disappear all together on my smartphone. That and I’m Far from being the sharpest knife in the drawer on tech !! I readily admit that. Connor has a habit of not opening his comments section quite often. Best of my knowledge I’ve never seen Mike do that his are always open as best I know. I guess I was trying to play The Prophet Lol !! Not that I Wish Stoops would be fired I have Nothing against the man at all. So I’m guilty of IF it happens saying See there told Yall this was gonna happen !! This is all going to be way more random than I tend to be. There's no help for it, that's just where I am today…
It's maybe a weird thing to say, but imagine if Gunner had the extra four inches of height Beck has. Gunner is stout. Beck is lanky. Dude can move, has really come into owning and moving this offense, but has slightly limited vision. Those extra 4" would add to his vision AND speed. What a monster would that be?!
I remember soooooooo much "Gunner ain't it" pre-season talk. I remember the same talk the first couple games. I'm really hopeful that I don't hear any more of it.
All this is to say, another one of our homegrown boys is, despite so much that might shift things the other direction, showing people why Georgia is fertile ground for the kind of player you want on your team. LEADING your team.

Lane Kiffin on Carson Beck and last year's game between Ole Miss and UGA:

Yeah, it was a truly awful game for Beck and I was rooting for him as my daughter is a Hurricanes fan and I don't believe there should really be any bad blood with Beck. Ideally, he would've gone straight to the NFL. Beck through 4 INTs on a team that was considered to be one of the best of the nation against an unranked Louisville. In addition to the 4 INTs, there were at least a couple (if not more) that should've been INTs. I don't believe I'm exaggerating (nor incorrect) that this last game cost him millions (if not tens of millions potentially over his career). His Heisman odds went from 3.5:1 all the way down to a longshot at 25:1. Unless a dramatically changed performance happens, he'll probably be drafted very late as opposed to an easy first round pick.
I dread the offseason QB discussions because it's going to be rough. I don't believe that Stockton has proven enough to go straight into the NFL and so you can fully expect Smart to have him a QB #1 barring injury. But then you've got the super hyped Curtis whom I'm presuming will enroll in January. Then, you have Ryan Montgomery (I had forgotten about him) who was the 14th best QB in his class and will have a 1.5 years on campus by Summer. And of course, Puglisi (10th best QB in class) will have 2.5 years on campus and be very eager to be named the starter.
i think 2027 after Gunner is gone is when the real weeping and gnashing of teeth will happen
