All the hype was on Texas with Painting Manning and the Movie Idol and Arc Manning playing his best football his last 2 games, and the close ups of his big blue eyes and tussled hair, just made for TV, this was supposed to be his coming out party on primetime TV and then a fist fight started, and all the fluff went out of their plans! We stepped on their face! Go DAWGS!

I'm glad that Quintavius and our defense are evolving into a very good unit. We're gonna need them for Haynes King and beyond.

    "Loser: Brett Thorson’s punting"???

There was a reason he kept the ball in front of the punt returner - you REALLY need to not do this winner loser stuff, as I see nothing but a bunch of winners in the red & black.

An onside kick recovery can't be returned. The ball is dead where it's recovered.

TX seems like a team on the softer side. That comes from their "culture" and coach. Sark seems like a cerebral yet soft coach. CR made a very interesting observation of UGA/TX being like AL/UGA. UGA bows up vs most teams. AL always bows up against UGA and usually beats UGA down. UGA needs to flip that script ASAP.

I hope Thorson regains his form. He was probably the best P in CFB before his injury. He is a huge weapon to lose.

Good to see QJohnson's size/athleticism starting to pay dividends. Always followed his progress closely after reading that Sentell article about QJ in HS. 6'5" 250 lb HS QB/DE. OLB potential off the charts.

It would be great if Luckie could make it in the NFL. An NFL career could fund a comfortable lifestyle for Luckie's mother and brother.

Cash Jones running out of bounds a yard short on the 3rd down play (pretty deep in UGA territory) was almost the play of the game ……..for Texas! Would be nice to see a scholarship player in those important situations.

LOSER: TX WR's dropping 5(?) of Arch's well thrown passes in the 1st half.

LOSER: TX coaches. TX's 7 1st half penalties (to UGA's 0). No truth to the rumor that SEC officials have been added to the UGA Xmas list.

UGA now 3-0 vs the fightin' McConaughey's. I suspect he'll skip the next UGA vs TX game.

That's not the first game we went cold for the middle quarters, I would love to see a game where we actually play offense the entire game with the peddle on the gas an entire game! Georgia gets way toconservative when we get a lead, just play til the end, we have let too many teams linger around almost did it with Texas.

He was just excited, who can blame him. Kicking team can’t advance an onside kick - a fumble is different.

As far as Thorson is concerned, I believe Kirby told him to keep the ball short and in front of Niblett (sp?)…not verbatim.

He pretty much said it - didn’t want to risk another return like the kickoff return that was called back earlier - he said he had seen enough.

Kirby a winner for sure with that onside kick…you could see the chagrin on Sark's face. Cash Jones was a winner as well, as he practiced for this. There was no denying the Dawgs Saturday night. PTL!

I'm not so sure about this. I was at the game and looked to the sidelines after the short punts and Kirby was chewing Thorson out. Kirby was hot, I'm pretty sure some expletives were flying, and not just on one of the kicks either, several of them.

We need Brett Thorson to get his kicking **** back. Dude is an absolute weapon but he hasn;t been the same this season after getting injured at the end of last season. Go Dawgs!!

Gramster’s fun fact stats for those complaining about “all the runs” on the 5 drives that resulted in zero points for our pups:

Drive One 3 runs 3 passes punt

Drive Two 2 runs 1 passes punt

Drive Three 4 runs 2 passes punt

    Halftime

Drive Four 1 run 2 passes

Drive Five 0 runs 2 passes 1 int Texas drives and scores 14-10 Dawgs

For those keeping score that’s 10 runs and 10 passes. Perhaps in his stubbornness to establish a balanced attack and shorten the game with a two score lead, this sounds more like a Kirby thing. But no matter who you guys want to blame, it is clear all those mid game body blows paid dividends in the 4th quarter so…in Bobo and Gunner I will continue to trust…

@Gramster "this sounds more like a Kirby thing"

More than likely considering Kirby likes to run the ball and establish a ground game if possible. People think it's Bobo all the time for some reason.
