@ConnorRiley where is your article about student athletes graduating.... oh wait you're too busy checking the police reports to see if any other bulldogs got arrested.

I think this will either be a slam-click case, or it will get dropped quickly. WM's lawyers will quickly try to reverse course if there is even the slightest possibility that it was a mix-up or mistake at the register. Asking customers to do jobs that require significant training and then arresting them for mistakes is painting a bulls-eye on WM for a significant lawsuit. The two guys in question stand to make millions off of NIL and this could definitely damage their image and earning power in the future (think legal damages).

Let’s wait for the facts to come out…I doubt Glover will miss the Sugar Bowl. Kirby will just run em until he pukes. This would have never happened in Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge though…there they protect their players instead of targeting them like the ACCPD

Why doesn't this site do some actual investigation before sensaltionalizing a honest mistake.

Get the real story. They did self checkout and missed scanning one small item. APD as usual overreacting and succeeds "scoring a notch in their belt" by arresting a UGA football player. What a shocker.

The media has been called out since many times for fake news. But will never learn that no one trusts a word they say anymore.

Will these guys get suspended? Why? So the media can blow another thing out of proportion? Negative sells.

Were they arrested? That is what is reported. Nothing more. Zero sensationalizing here son.

You really want to die on the graduation hill? It has been reported widely that the UGA football team has the lowest graduation rate in D1. Reported to be 41% (since 2016) . Most programs average 80-90%. Next lowest to UGA was UCLA at 64%.

Not exactly sure how they measure graduation rates. My own opinion on the extremely low UGA football graduation rate is that 1) UGA averages more transfers (out) every year than most/all other teams. UGA annually replacing older players that do not ascend to starting status. Those older players are perpetually replaced by freshman. 2) UGA sends more 3 year players to the NFL than most/all other schools. Guys are "graduating" to the NFL at a higher rate than other schools. The reports that SBIV played 6 years of CFB and did not attain a degree is mind boggling. Not sure how you even do that.

As for "shoplifting" I self checkout my grocery items frequently. I NEVER miss registering a checked out item. Why? Because I make sure each item registers. I don't want to be accused of shoplifting. It is not that hard. It certainly is way easier than going downtown, getting booked, calling an attorney, calling someone to bail you out. IF TWO players were so careless and self absorbed that they "shoplifted" erroneously they should be suspended a game just for being stew pit.

Didn't realize it was WM until reading the other comments. Once witnessed a grab and dash at WM. Swarm Swarm Swarm. Literally. He jumped in his car and got away. Can you imagine being a WM security guy trying to tackle Walker or subdue Glover?
