- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Sounds like we're taking Oregon's leftovers while Oregon signs our former object of love Dylan Raiola…. Nauseating.
This sounds like when we signed Dwan Mathis after Ohio State signed Justin Fields away from us because we preferred Jake Fromm. How did that work out for us?
Well, it was a good run while it lasted. UGA football is now well on its way on the Long Decline.
Bobo has us on a direct line toward that Titanic iceberg…. Enjoy the ride down…
Look for our #2 and #3 QBs to enter the TP next week.
@khummel…well, your feeling is not wrong. I feel the same way, and the On3 transfer rankings back that up. Dawgs sitting at #63 with a negative score as it relates to if the Dawgs improved their roster with these transfers. Their answer is NO.
Guess who's #1? Indiana.
my understanding is that the portal window closed yesterday.
Pretty well, I'd say. Played in National Championship game, won an SEC title, played in SEC title game all 3 years he was here. That's about the same as Justin Fields at OSU. Would we have been better with Justin Fields? Maybe. Could we have been worse with Justin Fields? Maybe. No one can possibly know.
Not new. The same thing happened at Alabama when Saban announced his retirement just after new players arrived on Campus. Julian Sayin, current Ohio State QB, and d back Caleb Downs went into portal and transferred.
I share your concern, but we did pick up 3 of the top 50 players per ESPN . rankings in Amaris Williams - edge from Auburn; Khalil Barnes - safety from Clemson; and Isiah Canion - receiver from Tech. Did we improve our roster with these transfers? Time will tell, but I would say we did! Kirby is not going to win the portal sweepstakes, because he is not ready to totally "sell out" to the mercenary model of roster building. If this is the start of the "long decline" there are a lot of schools that would like to be on it. i.e. Florida, South Carolina, Auburn, Oklahoma, Texas, Michigan, Penn State, Clemson, etc, etc.
Well technically UGA did get 1 "reinforcement" on the OL from the TP. UGA signed TyQuez Richardson SO OT 6'5" 330 lb from Mays HS (Atlanta) by way of Alabama A&M.
BTW saw that WR Nitro Tuggle is at USCe and Aliou Bah is now at LSU. CB AJ Harris is now at Indiana.
After reading the dissatisfaction in the comments of other UGA fans something occurred to me. Watching UGA lose out on the top guys, watching the top guys go to UGA's rivals, watching the coaching hires decline and watching the coaches settle in to this new normal I am reminded , very much, of the UGA under Mark Richt. Can't recruit QB, OL and WR. It is Mark Richt all over again.
Regarding picking up a qb, not surprised. Will he compete for a starting job while at UGA, who knows. We can only see from Gunner on the field what our coaches see in the backups in practice. I trust Kirby to bring in the players to compete. As far as the O line, I feel a little better than some of the opinions expressed in this stream. I think with this off-season, Gaston will get leaner and quicker and step up. Bobo, Greene and Glover are solid. UGA has Ogboko, a top lineman coming in and Kirby has already shown success playing a freshman on the O line. Go Dawgs!
Glad things haven't changed in Athens since I was there—still huntin' for Beaver at the horny rail. Good questions all—why do we need another QB?
Wow, you have no clue how the TP process works do you. The TP window closed friday 1/16/26. Therefor #2 and #3 are stuck with us until after next season when the new TP window opens, because they removed the spring April TP window.
So…he is from Cali, he decommitted from Boise, quit on Oregon…and he’s coming all the way across the country to play at Georgia…raise your hand if you’re not skeptical. Seems kind of shady that this happened on the last day of open portal, trying to limit Pugz, Monty and Zeke’s options I suppose. Hope it doesn’t backfire on ol Kirb
