the “guy” you speak of is gonna donate enough $ to make the team better. It’s a money game at this point.

if Tubby stayed here they’d have a statue for him. But he had to take that Kentucky job. No brainer at that point in history. His style was not meant for a big time job like that long term.

From what I’ve heard UGA allocates the least amount of House Settlement money to basketball of any SEC teams. As an “ older” college sports fan I am certainly not excited about the new Pay to Play environment that college athletics has devolved to but it is what it is and I don’t see any way to get that toothpaste back into the tube. I also imagine that there is no way Kirby is going to voluntarily release any football dollars to basketball. That said, I don’t see us being able to compete in bidding contests for the hot shot one and dones or trying to “ buy” exceptional players from other programs in the portal. So basically our current method of assembling a team will probably continue. I don’t necessarily think that’s terrible as I think this year’s group of players showed spurts and sometimes games that they had the talent to at least compete and win their share. BUT the rub is that they didn’t seem to get any better as the season wore on in fact they seemed to get more inconsistent if anything. I’m not one to holler “ fire the coach” willy nilly but it seems to me that if everything else remains the same that may be the only way to possibly see improvement. And Administration, show some backbone and quit putting these ludicrous buyouts in any coach’s contracts. I realize this might put you at a disadvantage in signing a coach but if one major institution would do this perhaps others would follow. In what real world business, and college sports is a BIG business, would a company fire someone for not doing his job but send him/her on the way with a boatload of $? Coaches work hard but they make tons of $. I say if they don’t perform send them on and the coaches should thank the institutions for the millions they were paid while employed. GO DAWGS!

I say.…let's sue the the players for "unearned" income. Lol. That was the most embarrassing Game I've ever witnessed the Dawgs play...on the National Stage.

I would have rather seen em go to the NIT. Then....nobody would know. Lol...just sayin' stuff, though.

Go get em Diamond Dawgs. Playin' like Champs. Like Winning means something to 'em and they love the game. Proud of you guys.

@CamdenDawg912 ....Lol. At the end of next Season....just use a little salt 'n pepper. It'll help those words taste a little better.

Bobo's Offense is fully online & locked 'n loaded, my friend. He has an Experienced, Mobile quarterback...he hand picked when he was still at Carolina.. And, "experienced talent" from Port to Starboard & Bow to Stern.

You shoulda' seen him when he played. He's been part of some of UGA's most efficient offenses. But...he NEEDS a mobile quarterback with the ability to run, in order to make His offense "Go" 100%.

Imo....he has that now. If he fails to improve the offensive output and performance....it's on Him. And, I'll pick up the ole salt 'n peppa'.. Lol

@BigDawg61 that’s a deal my friend! I hope you’re right and I’d be happy to be wrong. I would have liked to have seen more offensive talent brought in during the open portal season. Love the kid they got from GT, but man they sure did lose a lot. This offense was 3-13 on 3rd down in the playoff.

I think the Dawgs have some Pups that are gonna surprise some people.

IMO....The paradigm shift, surrounding 1st & 2nd year players at UGA and other Top Programs....has to do with the fact, that........

Everybody, except the smaller programs like Texas Tech or IU, is dealing with the departure of their senior players chasing the NFL or better NIL Contracts.…or, a new start or something.

A lot of shuffling around from program to program, of the Senior guys....has created more opportunities for the Junior guys.

I.E; The competing age, for Players on the field, is getting younger every year. A lot of the 4 and 5 star players are coming out of HS, are more prepared to do battle.…than ever.

And....they are competing against each other, virtually everyday. They even have Camps for em, when they're in their early teens.

To weigh em and measure em....and, find our where they are "wanting". Then, they grade em like meat. They get the ole "USDA Stamp of Approval" with a Prime, Select & Choice Grade.

The kids, like Bennett, that were either late to the process or missed out completely....don't get the "USDA Stamp".…but, they get a Grade. Sort of.

That's why I don't rely completely on these recruiting services. A Stamp of Approval from recruiting services carries value in today's market....meaning it's toi easy to corrupt...with zero oversight.
