A 3-star offensive lineman - Can't we do better? I don't know if there are many 3-star OL that end up in the first round of the NFL draft. It's probably a really LOW number if there are any. I'm sure someone on this site can set me straight on that. Thanks!

Star ratings for OL's is focused on height, weight and speed then game/camp performance against rated competition. If Razor played for a higher class HS team in Texas, GA, Ohio, Florida, he would be at least a 4 star. Given Razor's father/college & NFL experience and his metrics there is only one unknown factor that would keep him from developing into a high NFL draft pick….that would be his mental focus. Is he motivated by money/glitz or is he mature enough to appreciate and embrace what 3-4 years of development/game time at UGA means to his future in the NFL…..the "Philly Dawg" connection should speak volumes to this young man.

I have to agree! If we are getting excited about 3 star development projects we are really behind the 8 ball. Is our NIL money this bad?

    1. Not even committed yet
    2. Why are we still questioning the development of Kirby at this point? If this kid commits it means Kirby must know something we don’t.

When I first started reading, he seemed like a smart, respectful, team-oriented kid, but was wondering where was the physicality and aggression mindset we need so badly. Then he laid it on thick… and I concluded we need to get this one in the house. He might be a 3-star for reasons noted by others, including not having elite size. But he's plenty big enough for center, and the size of his heart and motor could be a difference-maker. Plus I love the mean streak essential for grading roads. Go Dawgs!
