That wasn’t the case a season ago, when the spring transfer portal still existed. Georgia went out and added four players after the conclusion of spring practice, while seeing four players exit the program as well.

    I’m admittedly not up to speed on all the rules, but what’s to prevent a player from transferring even without a portal? Heck the kid at Clemson was not in the portal and Pete Golding called him while he was in class and doubled his NIL amount. The kid just said goodbye and went to Oxford. Actually, he may not have even said goodbye. So far, no consequences for Golding or the player that I know of.

    them not being eligible to play the season should be a good deterrent. I think it doesn’t apply to grad transfers though. Could be wrong.

    I realize there’s still recruiting going on for next year. But now coaches can primarily coach. Will help all teams including our Dawgs.
