He sorta has Quincy Carters throwing motion. He and Beaver had the best game. I've heard others say our two and three weren't as bad as they appeared. Georgia has more to work with than we thought. They all need to work hard this offseason. That race is a lot tighter than it appeared last fall.
I thought Millender was pretty impressive. But I was also impressed with Beaver. Where in the world does the Buddha nickname come from ?? 🤣
Agree, he looked like the clear #2
Millender is like Bennett, in that, he can make you pay with his legs. Gunner can, but he doesn't look as smooth as Bennett did when he scrambled; Millender does. We may have another Diamond in the rough who can lead us back to the NC. Who knows?
IMHO 7 is too many to try to develop. Not enough snaps to go araound
Millender or Beaver should be the backup. I was impressed with both. I was least impressed with Puglisi, and I always have been. He ain't it.
true. But we are probably going to see 3-4 leave after the season
THe long pass Millender made if you watch the tape was sort of forced into double coverage, but his guy got it, so no harm no foul, I suppose, but on that play he actually had a receiver 10-12 yards wide open right in front of him . I think his mind was made up he was throwing it deep. Not sure when the coaches look at the tape with the guys if he get's an atta boy or why didn't you take the safer throw?
In a real game situation you can be a hero or a zero on a play like that. Having watched how Gunner plays and what Kirby preaches it's getting the play right and minimizing mistakes.
THere were several passes attempted Saturday by all the QB's where a better choice could have been made(throwing to a more open receiver). One play was a complete busted coverage where our LB failed to cover Phillips out of the backfield and he's standing on the sideline with no one within 50 feet of him. GO Dawgs!
Millender looked good.
Got to love a dual threat QB
I haven’t heard a single Georgia fan compare Millender to Stetson! Why? Two totally different QBs and situations. Zeke is 4th on the depth chart, but it still doesn’t warrant a comparison to Stet because the two above Millender haven’t established themselves as the clear #2 and we have an established #1.
One PRACTICE game only represents a small samplecsize, however for those of us who were there, Millender and Beaver showed great promise. Now both just have to show consistency.
I thought the same thing. Both are roughly the same size and have similar motions.
Quincy was a roller coaster to watch—you didn't know if the next play was gonna be a 70 yard TD pass or an easy pick six. If memory serves, I think he was drafted by the Cowboys—-right?
yes
Unfortunately @Kasey as probably right. We’ll lose some of these guys at season’s end. Maybe we’ll have a little Dawgs luck and the best will stay. I say Unfortunately but we might Need some to leave so we can pick up better through recruiting or the TP. You can trust my comments about football, why when I played first base way back in the day……….
