- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Call me when/if they sign.
Dishearting to say, but due to the way UGA does NIL, we are not going to sign any Top 100 players. Our aim is the Top150-200 that are talented, but need development that we can do the pay-as-you-go plan. Hope this weekend Kirby can do his magic!
you guys might just wanna skip recruiting articles for your own well being
Kirby has no magic. And no shot according to you so why is he wasting time and resources if UGA can't compete for these egos? Someone needs to tell him our aim is the Top 150-200.
Red?
Oh Contraire….this weekend is all about determining if any of these "egos" have "The Right Dawg Stuff", plus every recruit in America hears about the great time these guys had….UGA is the place you want to be…..Be Developed into a NFL need, earn a fair NIL payout based on your production, have a legitimate chance at playing for a Natty every year…. of course, if you're just huntin BUCKS….we'll find that out and you can go somewhere else.
Well something better change. Texas A&M, Texas and Miami are eating our lunch when it comes to recruiting. #1 lineman (who had UGA as a finalist) chose Texas A&M today. UGA is losing the battles they used to win. I find it hard to believe our NIL money isn't up to par with some of these other places.
Diamond Pups 8 Barners 2 in the 5th…144th home run of the season, the machine rolls on…
Diamond DAWGS still up 8-3 over auburn, bottom of the 5th..
can’t wait for them to sign and then wait for there big payday from Texas or Miami! If I were a high profile recruit, that’s what I would do…I am starting to believe that if they are good enough to play at UGA , they know other teams will give them the more money and attention.
Bring out the brooms, pups go for the barner sweep today!
I think you are spot on. A lot of these elite athletes are simply using a Georgia nod as a bargaining chip to feed their greed…
Brock Williams, ESPN's No. 2 tight end in the 2027 cycle, committed to Texas over UGA. While Georgia was considered a heavy favorite early on in the process, Williams specifically praised the offense Sarkisian runs, noting it maximizes the tight end's potential.
did he mention the money?
There is no denying that CKS's recruiting "magic" has definitely diminished in the last few NIL seasons. Money trumps everything when it comes to HS recruiting.
You can look at it 2 ways. UGA competes until the gloves come off or UGA is being used as a NIL jumping off point for other programs (Mia, TX) to come in and top UGA's NIL offers.
Regardless of thinking it is good or bad, CKS is now emulating Dabo Swinney in his approach to signing blue chip HS players. Neither wants to pay the top players, top dollars out of HS. Both prefer to reward players that have worked, at the college level, to earn what they are being paid. That approach does not seem to hold widespread appeal among the current players leaving HS for CFB.
That puts added pressure on developing lower rated players and paying them when they start to produce on the field. Nothing wrong w/that. It's a strategy that, so far, has not produced playoff wins.
I am not convinced that that strategy will ever result in signing another 5* QB out of HS. At some point UGA will have to pay up for a HS 5* QB and play him. OR recruit lesser rated QB and keep trying to develop a QB over multiple seasons. The ceiling (limited) of the QB's currently on the roster seem to be setting the ceiling for the team.
