I know your comment was meant to be a joke. But how soon we all forget the price paid by true heroes for the freedom we now enjoy yet so flippantly take for granted. Especially this weekend. The part that sticks in my mind , beside the horrors of war, was how the marines were dumped on these isolated islands low on everything. Got their drinking water provisions from 55 gallon drums previously used for oil. Complete with oil slicks and rusty metal fragments.
