Slightly off topic, but has anyone seen any real info on Michigan really trying hard to flip our #1 QB for 2028?

haven’t heard this. Could be possible bc the kid is really good. Don’t know why he’d go there though. If he was going to flip it should be to a school with a better QB pedigree.

Sounds like a great addition to the team.

Dawgs sitting @ #23 in the 247 Recruiting Rankings for 2027…we're creeping up. It's still WAY early, but it's interesting to note that Texas A&M is sitting @ #1 right now with (5) 5-star recruits, (10) 4-stars, and (3) 3-stars. The rest of the Top 5 are Oklahoma, Florida, Miami, and Notre Dame. We'll see which recruits are actually still with these teams by December.

I just read an article that said Notre Dame's spend for this season is probably in the $40M range. Maybe more, maybe just a bit less.

Are the Dawgs going to be able to seriously compete at this kind of $$$ level?

is that number include their own players and portal or just for high school recruits?

  • MontanaDawgMontanaDawg Posts: 2,868 ✭✭✭✭✭ Graduate

@Kasey…that's everything - portal, retention, recruits.

if that’s the case I would say we are close to that level. We got plenty of studs on this roster used poorly or under-used (however you’d like to spin it) and guys here that didn’t grow up dawg fans per se. I just think it comes off like we are cheap bc we don’t win or participate in these bidding wars.

Guys like Kemon Spell and Jaxon Dollar ain’t here for free.
