why don’t they just do away with signing day. Kids coming out of high school with million dollar offers.
Good get and glad we got him but I wish I could get into the mind of athletes these days. He says UGA was a “dream school growing up.” So why do these kids not wait until they take all their officials, then sit down and sort these things out. I mean, I love that it’s such a hated rival as Florida this happened to but hate it when it happens to us. I know a lot of pressure is put on these young men but I don’t understand how they don’t understand all the effort coaches and staff put into their signing only to leave them high and dry, sometimes at the last minute. A certain QB that flipped to Vanderbilt comes to mind but it’s happening over and over all over the country. As we all do, I miss when the word “commitment” really meant something with regards to athletes. Go Dawgs!

Man, can we ever use him!! Sweet! Hope he stays with the Dawgs…Jackson makes the 5th OT for the Dawgs 2027 Class…all guys are 3-stars or better.
you make a good point about them waiting until they complete their official visits. They are likely overwhelmed with the excitement of a visit and are put under massive pressure by coaches who are trained in persuasion techniques.
I sure hope he sticks! I wish (I know it won't happen) Kirby and crew would select two or three players each year, without fanfare, and sign them regardless of the cost just to show other schools that UGA can play with the big boys when they choose to.
