its funny to see in the comments that Bobo needs to be more aggressive…. I wonder if yall ever complain about the QB not taking the shots down field. There were countless times last year when Gunner could've should've thrown the deep ball (especially to the TEs running down the seams wide open) I promise you its not Bobo

Good OCs don't just call plays—they manufacture favorable looks. Motion. Play-action. RPOs. Route combinations that put a safety in conflict. Max protection. Concepts that create a receiver running free instead of asking the QB to throw into a tight NFL window.
Coach Smart has repeatedly said Georgia needs more explosive plays. That isn't just a quarterback issue; it's an offensive philosophy issue.
If Gunner misses an open seam route, that's on Gunner.
If we're consistently asking him to complete low-percentage throws instead of scheming receivers open, that's on Bobo.
Bobo is the QB coach, also.
He needs to be held accountable at many levels. That's what he gets the big bucks for.
Imo.…In the SEC….where Coaches take "Defense" seriously.....if you can't run the ball consistently.…I don't care what "look" you're givin' em. 1 dimensional offenses are gonna be stuck in 2nd.
In the SEC....You can't get away with flickin' the ball on every play. Sooner or later...it'll cost you. Big!
You cannot win Natty's or win consistently in the SEC with a clown-car offense that relies on gimmicks and looks.
UGA is sound s a pound....imo. They just need to execute more consistently, develop more depth on the line and stay healthy. Health and depth have been their Achilles Heel over the last few seasons. Not to mention....inconsistent QB play.
The quarterback thing is taking care of itself. But, the Dawgs could use a little luck in the health department. Lol
In my humble opinion at various times I saw three problems. In no particular order. OLine allowing defenders to get to Gunner thus causing him to abandon the pocket.
Pass catchers be it WRs or TEs not getting good separation from the defender. And Gunner not seeing open pass catchers and sometimes abandoning the pocket to early. So there’s certainly room for improvement on all three.
Coach Bobo called brilliant plays many times but he also called some head scratching duds. But I’m a Believer that with repetition people get better more often than getting worse. That imho applies to players and coaches.
We have what I believe are some great veteran players on this team. Coupled with not only athletically skilled new players, but guys that seem to be pretty football savvy to. The players know allot is expected of them this year. And the coaches do to.
Coach Bobo knows allot of eyes are looking at him. Gunner the same. The players love Both Coach Bobo and Gunner and they will give their all to Team success. In my earlier post I wasn’t implying that CMB is not smart or wise enough to coach these players. I was trying to say that he has so much talent available that it will be tough to balance it all. Yall know I’m a big fail in the articulation department ! I believe the pieces will all come together this year ! Go Dawgs !!

Lol....even Nick Saban with his "kick six"......and Richt with the "pooch kick" vs GT at the end of the game, giving Tech the ball at midfield and a shot to beat em....which they did. I remember a forth & dum situation, with Auburn, I think it was.
I can't think of a single coach worth their salt...that escaped the ol' "Head Scratcher", once and a while. Even Monkin pull a **** or two. One of which....was counting on Beck & Daniels and under-valuing Bennett....imo. Lol...but, that's another story.
JT Daniels got hurt. Beck didn’t start at QB until Monken left.
Daniels and Beck didn't fit the style of offense Kirby wanted to play. Just sayin'....again. Lol

Carson did pretty well in 2023. Wasn’t his fault we lost to Bama in the SECCG. Only fell off when he lost Bowers and Ladd lolol
Daniels was a stud until his series of injuries took him off the field. If healthy, I believe he could have been another Stafford, Greene or Murray quality QB. Especially under Monken's tutelage.
Yep. I agree even the GOATs made head scratchers at times. My main point was though it was a combination of things. The ultimate stat for Dawgs fans is Wins vs Losses. In my view no Dawgs Team, QB, or Assistant Coach has one upped another after the B2B Nattys.
Some Dawgs fans ( and that’s certainly their right and they believe what they say) see last year as an utter fail. I don’t. I do see it as falling short of the goals but not a big fail.
In that line of thought Some see Gunner as having been an utter fail. I don’t. He fell short With The Team of the goals he and they had but certainly not an utter fail.
Winning the Ntl. Title should Always be the highest goal. But the reality is that’s not gonna happen every year. As his first year as the true starter I don’t see where Gunner did any worse than other QBs after the B2B Nattys.
We will soon see but I believe that Gunner will be improved. I also believe Coach Bobo will find ways to produce a higher level of Offense. He has allot of weapons at his disposal. Yes there are allot of IFs on both sides of the ball. It’s that way every year.
But I believe this Dawgs team has the potential to win it all. At a minimum get deeper in the playoffs. Just my opinions, combined with the proper $$ it’ll get you a sammich at Mickey Ds !! Go Dawgs !!

I saw a sluggish quarterback with a good arm. No running abilities or pocket presence to speak of. No magic. That applies to Beck and Daniels. In Daniels' case....his USC injury may have impacted his career more than anybody let on.
It's not a coincidence that Daniels didn't produce at WVU or Troy (whatever)....or that Beck fizzled out in Miami, just like he did the previous 2 years at UGA....in virtually the same CFP position.
Look who recruited Beck. It was the guy Monkin replaced....not, Monkin. Mister Conservative....whatshisname?. They brought Monkin in to liven up the offense and ncrease explosive plays, while maintaining a stable running attack. But....He needed a "mobile quarterback" and the only one they had, was a walk-on.
Understandably, neither Kirby nor Monkin wanted to turn the keys over to an unproven QB...a true freshman or a wildcard walkon. Even if he thought Bennett could do it. So....here comes the "Best Available Quarterback"... (pre-free-agency)....JD Daniels. I credit Daniels with not losing the Clemson Game. That is all.

I agree. Last year was UGA's first true "rebuilding year" since 2020....imo.
Everybody in the huddle...and, on the bench...gained valuable experience to build on in the off-season. That isn't always the case. Usually, the reps don't come that easy for the Freshmen and Sophomores....and most of the previous years reps walk out the door, with the Juniors & Seniors.
UGA returns a lot of talent & experience this year to go with a nice little off-season recruiting haul. If Stockton doesn't reach resonance this year...it would shock me. With all that he has going for him on both sides of the ball....he has to feel pretty confident. Which is where you want him to be...mentally. Cause…confidence rubs off. Lol
