There are a lot of Dawgs working to make rosters. I know it’s not popular to say here but I’d rather hear about them rather than every year another story about Bennett trying to stay in the pros.
I’m still shaking my head about why the rams drafted Simpson. Two of his last three games in college were terrible.
You obviously didn't watch his 1st game vs UGA. Carved the Dawgs up. Alabama suffered late in the season with no running game when their #1 rb was hurt. Simpson suffered from an undisclosed late season injury that negatively impacted his play.
he was hurt and had zero running game. While I agree the rams shouldn’t have taken him that high, he’s a talented player.
No Excuses...SB IS BETTER PERIOD
You obviously don't value making no excuses. He played great in one game. Against Oky in game 1...pick 6 too. He was hit or miss for all but one game. Now you evaluating him that way is comical.

Stet is just one of those guys who will never get his shot at the top level. I believe he could be great but the NFL is just about measurables. If you don't have them you never get a shot.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't think he will ever get a chance in the NFL. For all the same reasons Monken never wanted to play him.

Imo....this is gonna turn out a lot like the '21 Bulldog Season, with Bennett.
Simpson is gonna win the "Backup Job".... After Bennett takes over as "Starter", midseason. Kinda like..."Beck won the #2 QB role in '21...but, folded back to Backup under Bennett the week after #1 Daniels goes down. "Semantics"....what're ya gonna do. Lol.
Bennett is a football player and leader. No way...imo...McKay turns that team over to Simpson, if Stafford takes a curtain call....this year. If that's not the plan...then I think I would be looking to get as much value out of Bennett as possible for trading purposes.
But, Stafford retiring, seems more and more like a big IF, in the near future. He appears to be reinvigorated and enthusiastic about football, again. Imo...that wasn't the case a couple of years ago.
In any case....I think the future is pretty bright for everybody involved. Especially, McVay....Lol
Sports medicine....and, Medicine in general is making headway by leaps and bounds everyday with AI. Soon....I expect some players could be playing well into their 40's. Time to add a couple more NFL Teams. How 'bout Savannah Ga.?. Lol

Simpson may end up being the real deal. People who pay much more attention to college QB’s than I do obviously think so. However, after losing to the Dawgs, Simpson stated in a post-game interview, “We have the best offense in the country.” That comment made me wonder about the guy. They couldn’t run the ball at all and he looked scared to death during that game. But it’s obvious that those who know a lot more than I do evaluate him very highly. As Kasey says, “We’ll find out together.”
