To answer the question in the headline: sure hope so! There’s no place where he’ll get coached harder than UGA. So, if that’s as important as he says it is, he’ll pick the home-state school where it not only feels like home but actually is home and he will get coached harder. Of course, that’s just thinking logically. As we’ve seen many times, logic often isn’t the basis for one’s decision. Money on the other hand….
Considering neither Clemson nor UGA are big on doling out huge chunks of money to unproven recruits straight out of high school, let’s hope it hinges on where he will get coached the hardest. We all know where that is! Go Dawgs!
It would appear that Dabo has been hearing the criticism from many Clemson fans and has adjusted his NIL and TP approach. Clemson paying more than people think. Funny how evangelist Swinney did a 180 on NIL and TP as soon as the threat of losing his $13M/yr contract became more real.

At 6'3" and possibly 4.4 speed it will be like having an elite WR playing Safety! There have been several of these commitment announcements that didn't go our way this summer, so I am certainly hoping to see him wear the UGA hat this evening. As @UGADad20 pointed out, Clemson is more engaged in the NIL philosophy now which will keep them in the conversation. I don't know if Clemson is keen on offering immediate playing time, which can sway a close decision like this in some cases. I feel more confident going head-to-head with them in this situation because they don't seem to have the kind of money that the Texas schools have. We will know soon enough!

NIL, when everyone can buy a house, the price of houses goes way up. I remember the days when we could afford the top 5 ranked safeties. Fast forward to every program now buying players and here we are holding our breaths and just hoping the number 37 safety picks us. Gotta love this new semi-pro football league.
