I just don’t get it, probably because I’m old school. If my son that played high school football had been recruited by my alma mater, he more than likely would have gone to that school. I would have told him that it was his decision, and I would support him no matter which school he chose. Veron Haynes’ son, and now David Jacobs’ son not going to their fathers’ college. I know money, unfortunately, is the big draw now, but with all the Georgia program did to support David Jacobs, and the development that Kirby offers. 🤷♂️
Totally agree, and I’d add Thomas Davis’ kid too.
It is about money. The money is too big to ignore. Life changing money for a 19 year old. Besides that OSU plays a 4-3 and UGA plays a 3-4. DJJ's will be a 4-3 DE. He is not big enough to be a 3-4 DE. He is a D lineman not an OLB. OU offers a better chance to showcase his skillset.
It would seem much more convenient (for the parents) to play in GA if you live in GA. But with a boatload of NIL I'm sure they can live or travel wherever they want. It would seem, for the reason of convenience, that the younger brother will follow the older brother to school.
This is a waste of time. No we can match Ohio St. in money. Move on to someone that is gettable.
we can we just choose to spend that money elsewhere. And if it means Ohio has to give him more to stay and we can leverage that to flip a guy like Fakatou or May…that’s a win too.
