Re: By the numbers: How SEC Championship Game combatants Georgia and LSU stack up
Ga is only averaging 25 points a game against the SEC and ND games. Playing 2 cupcakes and tech really helps the stats. And before anyone says anything, LSU is at 46.8 points per game against the SEC and Texas. And please no trash talking Texas, they held Ga to 21 points. Don't bring up players that didn't play or not… -
Re: Dawgs’ historic run not derailed by another slow start
The Good: second half defense physicality and play Pod’s consistency and excellence in not taking any plays off Punters average distance McIntosh was truly amazing in all aspects Offensive line pass-pro #19 & #0 hands The Bad: Clearly sleep walking first half Monken’s play selection for the 3rd game in a row and 5th this… -
Re: Shift in power or blip on radar? SEC Network star Chris Doering eager to see how Georgia responds
The media guys don't know any more about the Dawgs this year than they did last year. LOL It seems they don't see UGA's offense coming. And that's alright by me. Before the end of the year, there will be a number of breakout stars and Bennett will be playing like an old pro worthy of Heisman consideration. Monkin is going… -
Re: WATCH: Former Georgia linebacker Tae Crowder destroys Derrick Henry
"Only Alabama (65), LSU (57) and Ohio State (56) had more."----MG For now. These figures lag by a few years. They will tilt toward UGA, more and more, over the next 10 years, as attrition takes over. Kirby's still bringing em in and will be until...the Rapture? LOL. I wonder what the "projected figures" say. For instance,… -
Re: 5 takeaways from Kirby Smart: Georgia football key players and areas to monitor
Mehhh....there were, by some in the media. What I do remember, is every mental midget in the Sportsworld, overlooking the obvious talent Stetson Bennett was packing after 3 years chasing the moon. He finally caught it in 2020. He would have been a good to great QB, no matter where he played...BUT...you couple his talent… -
Re: Three early takeaways on Georgia football’s top-ranked 2024 recruiting class
Strange. Looking at the 2024 list, unless someone has a bonkers high school senior season this will be another year with no truly elite in-state QB prospects. The days when Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields would be in the same class - and prior to that a string of consensus 5 star QBs nearly every year that included Cam… -
Re: TCU captain: Todd Monken’s shifty Georgia scheme and Brock Bowers’ talents keyed title game
I think Ohio St did bring their A game against us. They had to hear for 2-3 weeks about how bad they were in the Michigan game and how UGA was going to beat them, how soft they were, they weren't tough enough. TCU no doubt heard that too, going into the Michigan game. And Lo and behold look what happened! THey beat a… -
Re: Closer look: ESPN draft rankings love Jalen Carter and Arik Gilbert, snub Stetson Bennett
I agree that Bennett doesn’t have the traditional “eye-popping” stats that we routinely see with Heisman finalists and NFL draft picks. BUT, I find it interesting that little attention is given to the QBR which rates the Mailman among the top 3 or 4 QB’s and it doesn’t even factor in his running and leadership abilities.… -
Re: Cormani McClain decision puts greater microscope on Georgia football-Florida recruiting gap
Georgia currently has the No. 2 ranked recruiting class for the 2023 recruiting cycle. Florida sits back at No. 9. While that might seem like an improvement for Napier compared to the end of the Mullen era, the latter’s first full recruiting class finished ranked No. 9 in the 2019 recruiting cycle. This entire article is… -
Re: Standout freshmen, Arik Gilbert updates and other key Georgia football takeaways from SEC media days
Williams and Jones Jr are 2 players that will need to grow up fast if UGA is to reach their goals this season. The good news is that they can definitely be contributors in the limited roles they'll need to fill. Williams as 3 down relief and in a situational pass rush role spelling Beal. Jones Jr as a pass rusher spelling…
