Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Here's hoping it's sooner than later for you guys...(!) Speaking of NY - I've been digging into a lot of data re: % of total C19 deaths by state that were in long term care (LTC) facilities. Pretty remarkable #s for many states, with a majority of deaths in a majority of states coming in LTC facilities: Connecticut 81%… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Georgia New Case age distribution from yesterday (announced today) This will be short of the full total because I didn't do under 4 year olds. 5-9 50 cases 10-17 258 cases 3 hospitalization, 0 deaths 18-29 1182 cases, 21 hospitalizations, 0 deaths 30-39 672 cases, 34 hospitalizations, 2 deaths 40-49 473 cases, 53… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
I appreciate your measured responses, and I agree with you, in general. Unfortunately politics and money always get in the way. There was a disincentive to list AIDS as the COD in the 80's. They listed it as "pneumonia" instead. Conversely, there's an incentive to list CV-19 as the COD today. Rather than cancer, heart… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
In all seriousness, if the article is correct it would explain why so many are asymptomatic. Everyone is looking for flu-like symptoms but this suggests that the virus attacks the weakest organ and may just show up as a s troke, heart attack etc. which would not be a respiratory issue and hence not induce coughing or… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
There has been much talk about the Covid deaths being overstated by it "being blamed" for death in those with underlying health conditions. The reality is that the vast majority of people have underlying conditions. In 2000 I had a heart blockage that was cleared and had a stent inserted. The procedure plus medication has… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Well here in Cobb , the wife and I are fine so far. I think the next 10 days or so should show how this will play out. Hand washing, and taking EmergenC and Zinc daily are the precautions we are taking. Only have enough t-paper for a couple of weeks so starting to worry about that /s . Best of luck everyone ! -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
I'm proud to say that I am deemed essential by the government. /s Been fairly normal days for me, but part of me wishes I was home with unlimited time to work on the plans for the house I'm building, or should I say hope to build one day if the world doesn't end. Soldier on folks. What else can we do? -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Well said. Not many are willing to place blame on both sides. I think it's obvious. Why are we hung up on petty arguments about masks when the federal government spent more money in the first quarter than all of 2019 combined? A bi-partisan affair i might add. At least we had plenty of extra money in our federal coffers /s. -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Thanks for taking the time to compile this data, @Denmen185 - seeing the #s is definitely helpful visually. I personally haven't seen conclusive data on the causality between two potential strains, but not rejecting it outright. One potential issue though based on the #s you show in the table: Boston is listed as one of… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
I'm not an expert in hospital capacity utilization but my understanding is that target capacity utilization is ~85%. Using this target, I found this link which includes daily status of Florida ICU utilization. With the exception of two small facilities that are full (8 ICU beds in use), the overwhelming majority of ICU…
