Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Early pecking order for me so far on the WR evals. ..... What I'm looking at here is legit mutual interest between UGA and said prospect. That includes having been on campus at least one time already. * Jermaine Burton (This guy will likely stay here for me for a good long while for the 2020 class.) * EJ Williams * Justin… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@SoFL_Dawg what would you put the % on of us landing 1 of Evans/Chaney/Nobody? Basically I see that you listed Edwards and Smith, but I’m just wondering given the previously mentioned scholarship limitations, would staff really take a Edwards or Smith and tell another top 100 player at a different position no? Sevaughn… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Sewell probably projects as a Mike. Depends on how Kirby wants to run his defense but typically a Mike is the bigger and stronger player - sheds blocks from lineman or fullbacks and stops runs up the middle and short passes over the middle. Will is typically smaller, faster and more athletic. Probably better in coverage… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
You are literally basing “same caliber athlete” based off a 4-5 inch vertical difference. How many 6’8” guys do you know that can jump over 30” or should I say, even needs to? Also, on what grounds do you have to say that DW won’t be a better receiver than AG? It’s okay that you think AG is a better fit in your opinion,… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
Before everyone gets carried away. Update on numbers re 85 max. End of 2019 season 83 leaving 2 open. 15 Seniors out of eligibility plus 3 early declares (Swift, Thomas, Wilson) results in 20 open spots. Current signees and commits of 20 leaves no open spots at this point. Adding Ringo, Evans and 1-4 others (23 - 26 total… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
I wonder if LSU would even want to take him anymore, as their fans have acted as if they moved on and there may be possible burned bridges there, since he had all but committed and got cold feet for at least a couple weeks. Which also plays into a reason why you'd have that awkward apology, but I can't see it working out… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
FWIW - Thoughts on Milton. Both he and his father spoke highly of UGA even before they had been to Athens. He came to GDay and certainly seemed to have a good time and bond with 4-5 other recruits such as Ringo and Sherman. I would be shocked if that trip had a negative impact on his/their feelings about UGA. He has set… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
@SoFL_Dawg if our possible finish to the class is the following names - Assuming we add 9 more: What 3 or 4 from this list are you the most confident about? I think I know but you may surprise me. And so far Kirby has had at least 2 major surprises in each class - do you have any guesses on any surprises? Sedric Van Pran… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
75% of what coaches say to recruits is lies. I went through it. Gilbert is talented enough to play 4 different positions in college at an elite level, so get him signed and let him start out at what ever position he wants! If he can play WR in college and prove everyone wrong then let him! I just don't think UGA should be… -
Re: Next To Commit To The G 2020
I could be wrong about this, but I thought a player only had 5 years total once they enrolled, which includes any college, even JUCO, and is not constrained to being on the team (exception for extreme outliers like late med reds). Nadab burnt 2018 as a JUCO student and will be a JUCO player in 2019. Wouldn't he only have 3…
