Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: COVID-19 Check-in
@YaleDawg ......asking you this question because you seem to be up on this Covid 19 stuff more than most. Especially those on Dawgnation. Please understand that these questions are sincere and in no way meant to start an argument. I haven't agreed with everything you have said regarding this pandemic......but I absolutely… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Thinking of your family, @CTDawg , as well as everyone else's here. You have every right to take it seriously as should we all. My 77-year old Dad lives with us and has a number of pre-existing conditions that put him at higher risk if infected, as well. My Dad complained of a sore throat and more fatigue than normal… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
This is something shared with me by email. It's long, but an informative read from someone who has a very knowledgable view. “As an infectious disease epidemiologist, at this point I feel morally obligated to provide some information on what we are seeing from a transmission dynamic perspective and how they apply to the… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Well...as this topic (I believe) was originated as a check in for members, and not a political or educational thread, I thought I'd check in from Austin and share something from yesterday. I was sitting on my back patio during a beautiful Texas spring afternoon, smoking a cigar, enjoying some bourbon, listening to an Apple… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
@CaliforniaDawg I haven't always been that way but I have definitely changed over the years. I'm convicted in my beliefs.... but I see little value in arguing with another convicted person who believes differently than I do. Especially when we probably agree on more than we disagree on. Cal dawg there are certain topics… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Yes I did. The study these people did was summarized as follows In this issue of Pediatrics, Posfay-Barbe and colleagues report on the dynamics of COVID-19 within families of children with reverse-transcription polymerase chain reaction (RTPCR)-confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection in Geneva, Switzerland. 6 From March 10 – April… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
My inside info is limited in terms of predicting the effectiveness of specific drugs/vaccines in development, but I can speak confidently that the best case realistic timeline for a vaccine to be approved and production/distribution scaled up to administer to large segments of the population (ie- you or your family can go… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
GrayDawg, I worry about this a lot too. Altruisitically I want to protect our elederly family and community members and selfishly I need our economy to be strong enough for me not to lose my shirt in my business. I have for a long-time been a proponent of taking Covid19 seriously and also not letting it paralyze us. I get… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
All good points. And I acknowledged that the death rate would be staggering. It's an awful evil virus of which we have never seen. And although all that argue for shelter in place certainly acknowledge the financial ramifications.....they do so assuming that the virus will cause more damage......and that is not necessarily… -
Re: COVID-19 Check-in
Haven’t been on here in quite a while. I am an RN supervisor. Not going to say at which facility, but I’ve seen the effects of and have been exposed to COVID-19 up close and personal. I haven’t read recent pages but I hope and pray everyone is practicing social distancing. This stuff is absolutely detrimental to the…
