Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Re: Next to Commit to the G
As a player you want the ball in your hands. Thats the thinking here. I understand it. A QBs thinking. Wow I got this great OLine and RB stable I can throw 20 times a game and we will win. A WRs thinking. Wow they have this great QB, RB and OLine. They throw it 20 times a game. Im one of 11 scholarship WRs not counting the… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
I stand by my post that @BigGAdawg reposted. But @Denmen185 is right about the risk involved in taking too many 3 stars. The more 4&5 you get, the better the chance you get a number of recruits who can play. And recruiting has changed significantly over the past 10-15 years so it is difficult to compare how players like… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
As nice as it is to have all those 4* and 5* players, and generally those stars and rankings are a good indicator of what you are getting. However, Marshall was the top priority target over Gurley. David Pollack was a lowly 3* fullback before winning every defensive award available. And we have to remember the high value… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
I understand the desire to sign the top class. It's been proven that national championship contenders sign more 4 and 5 star players than the other schools do. But good recruiting also means good scouting. Just because the rating sites rate a kid a 5,4 or 3 star doesn't mean it's true. Typically the 5 star players that UGA… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
Jammie Robinson will be a Dawg too. Not sure when, but I think they make room for him. At this time, I think Stevenson ends up in this class. I could see the third CB as S. Sanders as a play to get Lewis Cine. I know numbers are tight so offensively I think we add 1QB (3-4 ⭐️), 1 RB, 0 additional WR/TE (Bush will make them… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
Penn State has always had monster success in the DMV. They’re also close, as you pointed out, and offer good academics. If I had to pick today, I’d still go with them but can also see Clemson as well. We will be there until the end and I’ve certainly not ruled us out. At this point though I see Clemson and Penn State in… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
Grad transfers or any transfers do not count against the 25 any year if they are from D1. The issue 2020 is the 85 limit. We currently have 83 with incoming players. Signing only Cager and Wolf ONLY would take it to 85. Where it helps is that they both have only 1 year of eligibility left. That will increase the number out… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
2020 Post - 2019 Signing Days Mock Recruiting Class QB (2): Robby Ashford and CJ Dixon (Ashford seems like a shoe in at this point. Pickens definitely helps. Given that baseball is a big factor there, a second QB take is a definite possibility). Also watch out for Jacoby Criswell & Ken Seals RB (2): MarShawn Lloyd - RB and… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
As this thread is set to retire in a couple of days, I just want to put it out there that I’ve never seen a more confusing cycle with the amount of twist and turns that 19 has shown. Legitimately, every target has some sort of twist/uncertainty on where they’re going. I spent yesterday morning trying to read as much as I… -
Re: Next to Commit to the G
This kid just got offered today. First year playing football. Looks to be one of those uber athletic Africans that comes to America and exhibits incredible power and speed while on the gridiron but is, of course, very raw. (I think he is Nigerian). Recruiting is more global now for sure as some European kids are getting…
