Didn't know that. Honestly, I don't know too much about the pitching staff yet. Much more familiar with position players. Did he come up through the farm system or did we acquire him through a trade?

Soroka and Fried are looking very good, get what you get with Teheran which leaves us with the Folty question.

Orlando. While the progress of Soroka and Fried is great long term, the rotation still has a way to go to have the depth to contend. If Fried is more than a short term success and Folty returns to last year's form, then we'll be getting close to having something that looks sustainable.

Accumulating all of those young pitching prospects a few years back was taking the long view. There are still quite a few young guys in development below the 3 who we've discussed. In 2 years the rotation might be special.

We drafted Soroka 28th overall in 2015. He had a rough year last year with injuries but he looks dynamite early on so far

CTD. Soroka has been good throughout his minor league and brief MLB career. It's just been a matter of staying healthy. Ian Anderson is another very young and promising starter who could be a factor either next season or in 2021.

You gotta love Max's enthusiasm but hope Snitker asked/told him to not slide head first anymore.

I think come mid summer the starters will be fine. Work out the kinks with the relief guys and the Braves can be right in the thick of things.

Fried is similar to Soroka in build and movement on his pitches, but Soroka's consistent command separates him in my view. I'll be interested to see how Max holds it together this season.
