National Leon Day
National Leon Day marks June 25th as six months away from Christmas day. Leon is Noel spelled backward and is a day some crafters begin planning their homemade gifts and decorations. It can also be a day for those who miss the winter holidays to have a mini winter celebration in June.
To assist anyone who wishes to have such a mini winter celebration, it is also National Catfish Day. So roll out those hush puppies and take in some vitamin D in the form of delicious catfish. Any favorite recipes or catfish "experiences" to share?
Anyone ever wrestle one of those giant catfish we've heard about?
Comments
When I was a kid we were night fishing (or at least that's what I remember) and my dad caught a catfish. It looked like it was gonna bite me and I hated them for a while. Just some mean looking buggers. Taste delicious though. Also, never order the catfish at Cracker Barrel
"Famous" Leon's. Many sportsmen, many in music and performing arts. A few inventors, scientists and politicians/public life. A few criminals.
"Famous" Noel's. Many literary personages and in the performing arts. Some athletes, politicians. Plus one important "Detail"
Is August 31 here yet?
Edit: The same site Ranker as used above has this: Several stores are listed. Here is one (Under Food heading, Secret Menus).
Also this: (Under Sports heading, College Teams)
And this: Can vote.
I think every person named Leon should get a paid holiday on this date. Of course I will sue for a William Day if it happens.
Geez, is it too late to re-name our children Leon ?
jc,
good luck. Maybe you ought to try rasslin' him?
