Yeah I'm just sitting here, seeing if it expires on me live with Washington St vs Houston lol. It's 10 minutes past 12 and I'm not even seeing those commercials talking about the carriage problems anymore. So, who knows, shrug.

There is some confusion as to when it was though, either now or the end of the month. Maybe they cracked a last minute deal or extension. Maybe it's not soon enough and will be blacked out later. Only gonna need time to find out.

I love youtube tv. The unlimited dvr across all platforms is thr best. I have it set to record literally every college or pro game on TV just in case theres a great game i wanna go back and see in real time. Plus evry show i care to watch and once every couple weeks i look at all upcoming movies and record every single thing that looks even slightly interesting. Its unlimited why not

Bigdawg, why all the fuss? It seems your concerns and the public service messages were premature. And we saw this type of controversy before and nuthin' came of it.

Also, what's with the Caps Lock? That type of practice went away years ago. You can get your point across without being obnoxious.

Time to change with the times dude.

And I like my directv just fine. Thank you very much.

HD Antennas are another option. Can get local channels like CBS, ABC, and NBC. $20 one time invest.

    ESPN not so much.

Google Disney Direct tv or AT&T and read the story. I’m looking into other ways to get tv service. I’m taking my time. No more mistakes with crappie providers.

So, if there's actually issues, I think 12 PM or shortly after is go dark time now, which is inconvenient for several.

If not, then as it turns out, it was scare tactics because of it even being a possibility and if they can't get a deal done, we'll have to worry about it again closer to the 30th.

Either way, it's ridiculous that it's even possible.

I just got YouTube Live or whatever it's called. I'm dropping the entirety of cable tv.

YouTube Live has all the games.

Combine it with the commercial free version of Hulu and you can watch just about anything.

    Go, Dawgs!

I got to see the game, and that is always good.

The contract between DirecTV and Disney ends October 1. Seeing the Notre Dame game is not an issue. It is not unusual for these negotiations to go down to the wire. Disney is working to get viewers to call in and put pressure on DirecTV to get a better deal. Not having the Disney/ESPN line up would be a huge issue for DirectTV. It is likely that all this will work itself out. Worst case, DirectTV would go a day or two without these channels and cave once the subscriber base demands refunds on the bills in mass and a number of subscribers threaten or actually start to leave.

I’ve got DISH and the only thing we can’t get is Fox SportsSouth, which is bad enough because we can’t get the Braves, & HBO which we don’t care about because GoT is over.

Well, friends and neighbors, it's that time again. The Disney and DirecTV contract expired today and ESPN channels, SEC Network and ACC network are now blacked out and there are 8 markets where ABC blacked out today. Maybe other channels, but I haven't checked for any.

Anyone here have any insider info or other insights into the negotiations?

For those with DTV,you can visit the site below to find out which channels are impacted in your market. They are also offering a billing credit option. I took the billing credit then reduced my channel package until those channels come back.

Sure, it's just going to make things more difficult for viewers until then without the college networks and ESPN family through this weekend. I'm surprised there weren't comments here when people found out they couldn't watch the Braves last night.
