Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Not that I have a problem with any thread, but it seems to me that the same people are making threads all the time. I would be interested to here thoughts on limiting the amount of threads a person can make during a certain length of time. Any thoughts?
I almost spit out my beer! Haha that's a good one.
How does one place activate the ignore option for a user, can’t find the option...is it bc I’m on mobile?
Hmmm...would seem cruel and unusual for someone who has 16K+ posts. I don’t like it.
Posts and threads are different yo
True, true...I don’t wanna let facts get in the way of this though.
Click on the name of the poster you wish to ignore. On their profile page, there is a little man shaped icon in the upper right corner (see below I clicked on your profile as an example, nothing personal :-) )
Click the drop down arrow beside the man icon and choose “ignore.”
thats it!
back when NYCdawg and a few others were spreading their strife around here, I learned that there was a limit on the number of posters you could put on “ignore” so be selective. There is a way to clear out your “ignore” list if the posters go away, which I did once, but I don’t remember at the moment how to do it.
hope this helps
Seems odd you are accusing someone of personal attacks. I've disagreed with you and I've even agreed with you numerous times. But I've never called you a name.
In one afternoon you called me an a.hole, pom pom waver and something else I can't remember.
There are times it seems I can carry on a perfectly logical discussion with you. But other times you decide to throw insults.
Who do you honestly believe is the instigator?
I haven't always agreed with @SoFL_Dawg and he certainly hasn't always agreed with me. But neither of us has ever taken it beyond that.
Despite all that - I still think you are a very good contributor to this forum. And I agree with many of your points.
But you need to look in the mirror at who starts to get personal when you don't agree with a poster.
And concerning the grief you occasionally receive from your south Florida buddy - you've earned it.
Thanks! Must indeed be due to mobile version bc I don’t have the little man drop down menu
Can confirm it’s desktop only. You can go full site on your menu bar and try that way though
That worked, thanks!
@dawgnms That is in no way a rule that you will follow. Want to test it? I advise you consult with your fellow mods.
I quit taking tests long ago......thanks for the advice
No. Once someone comments on a thread, it becomes part of the community. That is the only reasonable way to look at it. Someone put thought or not and effort into making a comment. Now, yes, there can be reasons - GOOD reasons - to close a thread. But nebulous TOXIC or request by the author aren't ones.
Lol you own what you post. How does it feel thinking you are the smartest person in the room, just curious
Practice and I look in the mirror A LOT.
Again, do you want to test that?
It’s always been a rule that if the OP asks for it to be closed it will be closed. It’s happened numerous times before. The good news is that the thread is still apart of the community, as it was closed, not deleted. “Toxic” comments can also get threads closed. So, that thread was 0 for 2. Kasey also said you could start a new thread on the same topic. In summation, thread had 2 reasons for being closed, an alternative solution was given, not sure what else we can do at this point.
What part of I quit taking tests long ago did you not understand
This thread is getting toxic, should I close it? /s
