I wasn't trying to get political.....just saying what a great concert Zac Brown put on.
But as soon as WC, dgd, truth and others sit down with Kirby and tell him what he needs to do differently, I'll tell Zach that Dawgnation doesn't think he needs to play that song.
Until then....I'll continue to enjoy My Dawgs and Zac Brown....even with all their flaws.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you tried Texdawg
Love whipping post , great song and many of us have felt exactly what the songs lyrics were portraying. Glad you and your family had a great time...
Well, 2 of the 3 can't, and the one left is on Double Secret Probation so go ahead and text Zach,,,😉
She hates when I play whipping post, but I make it up to her with blue sky
I'm a HUGE fan of the Allman Brothers Band! Blue Sky is my favorite ABB song. Some fine pickin'!
It's been rumored that Dicky Betts was so upset because of the breakup of his marriage to Sandy W, that he couldn't bear to play the song ( Blue Sky) in concert for a while. Good Stuff!
Amen Gator. Blue Sky is one h.ell of a song, and ABB was one h.ell of a band.
It's just my sense of humor, @texdawg I couldn't help but throw a little shade on a thread titled, "Since (we can't have) intelligence conversation...."
You might have noticed I didn't really go all in . Sounds like an awesome show. Whipping Post is intended to be played LOUD. Great song.
Zac is a really great guy, I knew him personally years ago as he went to the University of West Ga. and I use to hang out with him back then when he did the small shows at Taco Mac, Loco's etc.... Really good, down to earth guy. His music is pretty bad@ss too.
Alls good bank. No problem at all.
Man, he sure does come across as a great guy.
I was in a rock band in college and whipping post was part of our regular songlist. Crowd always loved it and it's hella fun to play.
TDub - what years were you there ? What time period was he playing out around town. I was unaware of him back then and left in 2006.
That’s a big boy, Tex! I know you’re proud. Whipping Post and Blue Sky are classics, but they had so many great songs. I’ve gotten where I like listening to live youtube versions of some of their tunes. Pretty good stuff. I was so busy back in the 90s, I stopped following them, so some of it is new to me. Particularly like the guitar on this one. Betts really gets going at 7:30-8:00 minutes into the song if you like Betts at his best...
