Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Best night ever in Va Highlands
Wait for it....
I hate Dave Matthews Band
and I welcome your DV you burnouts
I hate giving DV's so you'll have to settle for a disapproving emoji. 😲
I don't like Dave Matthews or widespread panic...i'm surprised they didn't revoke my Georgia citizenship
The appreciation of music, like art, women, and a few other things, definitely depends in large part on individual taste. I happen to love Dave Matthews, but Widespread does nothing for me.
Fun fact, opened for both of them (on different occasions) at the Georgia Theatre circa 1990, with my small time band that went nowhere.
This may not be everyone's cup of tea (do I sound old saying that?), but I love it so much I thought I'd post here in case just one person who hasn't seen it before might watch it and love it too.
David Byrne & St. Vincent, "Road to Nowhere" live with a full brass accompaniment.
That's incredible - what an experience (!)
I'm not typically a jam band kind of guy and it took me a while to really get into DMB back in the 90s but their musicianship is just off the charts. I'm a (terrible) drummer and Carter Beuford is one of my favorites.
A decade earlier, but Omar Hakim's work on "Burn For You" from Sting's "Bring On The Night" film is the still the gold standard for me. For those who don't want to go through the whole song, Omar kicks in at the 3:30 mark and what he pulls off IN time at this pace is absurd:
I fully expected some boos. It's a love em or hate em thing. I got hooked in Athens when they played super jam every year. Carter's the best drummer in the universe & they're all masters of their instruments. Most musicians appreciate them even if they're not big followers.
To each his own...
Oldie for us old farts, but well worth a listen. Some of the best bass playing you'll ever hear.
Highly recommend earphones or buds to get the full effect......and close your eyes and relax...
Hell yeah, one of the all time great intros
A few years back the Wilson girls did a bang up job on Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center honors celebrating Led Zep, if you haven't come across that before. With Jason Bonham on drums.
Pretty cool to see Plant, Page, Jones in the audience taking it all in.
