Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Yep, I bet Bobby Cox is smiling at that. Imagine if Soroka can join the rotation next year.
FYI. In 5 postseason starts Ian Anderson is now 3-0 with a tiny 0.78 ERA.
It's thought Mike will return at the earliest in July of next season. At this point I just hope he comes back near 100% at some point. No doubt if he's back in form before next postseason he will add a lot to the team's chances.
I'd say that works.
Yep, keep doing that.
I am rooting for him! But he is dealing with A LOT health issues and his MLB status report for the past 5 weeks is posted as "Unavaialble"! That is never good, but he is a A1 starter, if and when he makes it back!
I know, right?
Two shutouts and no runs since the sixth on Friday!
Outstanding!
So who starts tomorrow's game, Morton ?
I hope so but there is talking head talk that it may be a reliever game.
I sure hope not! Morton has been a beast and, at this time of year, short rest should be enough.
Go Braves!
Maybe it depends on whether Charlie feels rested and ready before game time.
Probably. Here’s hoping he does feel rested. I would rather take my chances with him even at less than 100% than to go with a bullpen game!
Go Braves!
Smyly has pitched really well over his last 8 apperances, his velocity recovered after moving to the pen. The most he's gone recently was 3 innings, but he's capable of starting. If it goes to a game 5 both Morton and Fried would be available for extended innings if Smyly goes today. Just spit balling, I trust Snitker to make the right call.
Same here!
you are correct about Smyly. Should be fresh and hasn’t started in a while. Might be the way!
Go Braves! One more!
Braves dont have enough dependable arms for a bullpen game. Go with Ynoa and Smyly for long relief if needed. Only takes for 1 bad relief appearance to blow a bullpen game and braves dont have 6 or 7 that can be counted on.
Then you have a rested Morton for game 5 if needed.
I hear you. Whatever the option is, I don’t want it to be a bullpen game for all the reasons stated herein. I have faith in our manager. Be aggressive. Shut the Brewers down!
Go Braves!
