Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

It’s awesome…
Born in Syracuse NY, home of the unmatchable Hofmann's frankfurters and Snappys. Went off to college in Greensboro NC and spent 28 years in Metro Atl getting "Dawgified" before moving to Indian Harbour Beach in 2002. #IHATETHEGATORS!
Keep the posts coming…and I encourage everyone to read through from start to finish.
I find it very interesting to not only know where Dawgnation members are from or currently living, but how many on here became Dawg fans.
OT is encouraged. Let conversations take you where they will.
Not sure what that means, but it's cold and windy here and actually kind of boring. Can't wait to get home. I actually went to High School my first three years here from 83-86. Dad was in the Navy stationed at the American Embassy in London. Did my senior year in Corpus Christi, TX.
Roger Miller song title
A line from Roger Miller song" England Swings".
I was hoping you could enlighten us. I never understood it either, not uncommon for me.
It very well could be. I'll try to get some deer pics when they're roaming. Right now we're in full season, so they've been a little scarce lately.
I was born in Atlanta but raised on the coast of Georgia between Bwk/SSI and Savannah. I eventually moved to and lived in Asheville, NC for the better part of 20 years before returning to the coast. In between all of that I lived in Honduras and Costa Rica as well. However, for the last two years plus I’ve been back in NC.
Donde en Nicaragua?
Right now, I'm living in Granada. I own a house here. Until about 18 months ago, I also rented a house in Matagalpa for 3-4 years. It's in the mountains, so a lot cooler. Actually spent more time there than here. But decided that was a little extravagant money wise.
People are super nice in Granada
People are super nice everywhere in Nicaragua.
Born in Los Angeles and moved to London when I was 15. Now live outside of the ATL.
Ha…I’ll leave the award for others. Actually left several places off for fear of boring folks. Probably can tell I am: 1) old, 2) prior military, and (not so obvious) 3) pastor. Have travelled extensively but Georgia has always been my favorite. Lived in Toccoa ‘97-‘2005.
TurkDawg, I might have known your uncle Ed that went to Tech to play under coach Dodd and then transferred to Ga. State. Did he live in Columbus, Ga at one time? If we are talking about the same Ed he was a heck of a good football player and a super nice person. I understood that things just didn't work out for him at Tech, but he had a very nice business career after college.
