Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

No starters left if Sales can't go. Best option will be who knows Tuesday, Fried Wednesday and Lopez Thursday. Let's hope Sales back spasms were a smokescreen? In any event 3 in SD with no rest after DH is going to be tough. Fingers, toes, legs and arms crossed!
Smith-Shawver chosen over Ian Anderson, Bryce Elder, & Huston Waldrop options as Sale with back spasms will be held back for hopefully the division series. Fried & Lopez likely games 2 & 3 starters.
Sale left off roster as all three games in San Diego & not a good situation flying on plane with back spasms. Rest in Atlanta and hopefully ready to go and game one starter against the Dodgers!
Braves down 2-0 after 1 inning. Not looking good.
3-0 after 3. Both teams with 4 hits.
I hope somebody is watching out for Snitker. He may doze off and fall out of his chair and hurt himself.
Long plane ride, I guess….😎
Hate the quick turnaround, Boys just not working well last night….
Snakebit all season and then Sales goes down, SMH!
Fried next… c’mon guys you can do it!!
Go Braves! Hate on Padres!
I sure fell asleep trying to watch that. Our hitters had no chance last night. Braves are happy with a postseason participation trophy I’m afraid.
All the home teams lost yesterday. Except 1. We hit the ball better than I thought we would after long day. Just didn’t score. They hit it better. Early 2 run Homer was a deflater. Need fried to shut em down today
I'm sure there was extraordinary fatigue present last night. DH on Monday where they had to play 2 games all out in order to make the playoffs. Then the cross country flight and play again.
We got 7 hits to their 5 - kudos to our pitchers - but 2 of theirs left the building. More striking, the Braves struck out 15 times - not quite 2 every inning. Amazing. A good night's rest cant hurt their chances tonight.
Yep, if you’d told me we had 7 hits to their 5. I would’ve thought we might sneak out a game 1 win. Keep hitting like that we can take today and tomorrow. Today first though
Yes. Today first. Tough to win with 15 Ks. Thats 55% of your outs - without a chance of getting on base. That only leaves 12 chances to get on base. Tough row to hoe. Not that we have been great at hitting with RISP, but with no RISP, we'd have needed some HRs, which we didn't get.
50 years ago today!
October 2, 1974 - Hank Aaron hits his final home run as a member of the Atlanta Braves. Atlanta defeats the Reds 13-0. Phil Niekro tosses the shutout and picks up his 20th win of the season.
I like this! Should bode well as an omen for tonight's game!! I am sure the "Hammer" will be looking down on the Braves and thinking the same thing!
Go Braves!
Musgrove pitching today for the Padres. More of the same style pitcher. Let's see if we can learn from yesterday.
