Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

When I think of the midwest.…i think of it in terms of Lat/Long. That whole time zone is the middle to me. I guess you could say Texas is Mid-South. Lol
But, from the the '60's on.…Westerns always began in Texas and Oklahoma. We thought of Texas as "The Wild West"...So...I guess it depends on a person's perspective.
I would include these States...in MY Midwest (Lol)....Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota. And, a few States that don't matter (the flyover zone) . Lol
Oh yeah....and, I do agree. Manziel deserved it as a Freshman. But, he was the first Freshman to deserve it or earn it.
Anyway....I'm glad they fixed that. No matter the reason.
Come to think of it....I think the reasoning behind it was logical. More and more players were turning pro after their Junior year.
That option was available till, sometime in the '90's i think. I believe it started with Maurice Clarret. Not sure.
