IF GS '26 is the same as GS '25 it would not have surprised me to see freshman Curtis overtake him to start sometime in '26.

Curtis would not have been here in '27 if he were not starting. He would know by the post '26 season TP where he was in the pecking order and how the competition measured up.

UGA/Vandy is the 4th (?) game of the season. It would not surprise me to see Curtis become Vandy's starting QB in game 5.

I don't see a backup QB on the UGA roster that is capable of putting up the kind of numbers SBIV, Beck and GS have.

i think Curtis will get reps early and will likely be QB1 by the time he rolls to Athens.

I don’t think Kirby would’ve played him over Gunner unless Gunner got seriously hurt. Just not Kirby’s style. But I do agree unless he was QB1 in 2027 he was gone.

Lol....come on guys… I know I have a wooden leg...but, ya don't have to keep pulling on it. I remember the same rhetoric about Everybody from Eason to Raiola. They never pan out the way you think.

And, it's entirely possible…UGA already has it's next 2 Starting QB's on hand. It would've been nice to sign whatshisname....but, not necessary.

Why are yall trying to scare DawgNation? Lol. I WILL say....Fields finally managed to find his footing in the NFL, it appears.

Is there not enough to report about with Georgia sports instead of writing articles about players who left( Burton) or this kid here who flip after committing twice. Gezzz move on, no one cares what he is doing.

we are discussing hypotheticals of a college QB. It’s summer. In an article about Jared Curtis. You’re allowed to disagree with us.

in 2021 class they had four 5 star QBs. Three were drafted, two in the top 5

In 2020 they had three 5 star QBs. Two were drafted, both in the top 2

In 2019 they had 1 5 star QB and he was drafted day 2

In 2018 they had three 5 star QBs, two were drafted. One top overall and one first round.

In 2017 they had two five star QBs, both drafted, one in the top 5.

So as you can see with the recent data, these guys usually pan out. This is where you move the goal posts and ask how many titles they won for their team…

I'm not disagreeing...I'm just not buying into it completely. Everything isn't black and white, in my mind. There are multiple ways of looking at a topic.

For instance....imo....at UGA, Curtis wouldn't break the rotation, before '27 [in all likelihood].

However......@Vanderbilt, he's already "the projected starter"....and I'm not sure he's even put on a Vanderbilt Jersey, yet. Lol

FYI...I watched part of a recent interview with Bill Belichick, last night. Very interesting. The full interview is tonight with Hannity on FOX News. Thought you may be interested.

He was discussing the considerations for the QB position, once Tom Brady was established as the Patriot's quarterback. Every Offensive decision regarding personnel, play design, play selection...every decision was geared toward Brady's strengths.

TThey passed on some outstanding offensive skill players, because their strengths didn't compliment Brady's strengths. That's the reality of the quarterback position.

Imo...you can't just flip the script with a quarterback change, alone. It must be accompanied by an offensive redesign, to the strengths of the new quarterback.

If you notice....all of the quarterbacks currently in the Dawg QB Room....have similar attributes and strengths.

Meaning...a mid-season or offseason QB change wouldn't have near the impact of say....installing Fields in an offense designed for Fromm. Or, Daniels in an offense designed for Bennett....or, a Bennett-like quarterback. And....vice versa.

Perception sometimes has a way of becoming reality. Just sayin'.. Lol

@Kasey ....btw....I can get down with some football hypotheticals. Lol.…what else is there to do wrt CFB, anyway.

And, I've got no use for the NFL, anymore. I can take it or leave it, these days. Not the same game I idolized as a kid. It's become "soft" and geared more toward entertainment and women. Not that I have anything against that....it's just not Football...the way football was meant to be played.

I'm lovin' me some UGA Baseball tho'. Dang what a team. Jackson just won SEC POY.…and he's up for that CBB "Heisman-like" award. Trey Phelps & Cory Branch are tearin' it up too.
