If Fox were to be fired, who would you like to see UGA hire to replace him?

It's kind of sad when the football coach's wife might be able to draw up better schemes than the men's basketball coach. She would probably need a "Get Back Coach" to stay in the coaches box.

I have no idea, but a change is past due.
Take a risk or accept mediocrity, easy call.

Auburn's killing it in basketball. If that doesn't cook your grits nothing will. Go get a winning coach. Tired of status quo.

Pearl was a mega cheater at UT. Even with his record he may not last at AU. He refused to cooperate with either the AU or NCAA investigation of AAU / shoe company payments via his assistant coach. He may lose some “ eligibility”.

Not sure UT has any bearing on what Pearl is doing at Auburn but that really wasn't the point I wanted to make.

We don't have a tournament win since 2002? That's crazy and, I suppose, completely acceptable. Otherwise, it would be different.

Well UGA does it again in basketball and loses to the worst team in the SEC in Vandy. Time to go ahead and pull the plug on Fox. He doesn't deserve to finish out the season.

I hate to say it, but since conference Play has started, we have really imploded. Great wins over Florida and Alabama have been overshadowed by an otherwise horrid second half of the year. Teams are covering Matten and no one else is stepping up. It is time for a change.

I don't see him that way. In fact, I see him kind of the opposite. He refused to get into the AAU/Shoe Company swamp and it cost him and still does. I admire him for that. Those on the board who favor integrity over winning alt all costs can appreciate that. Having said that, it seems like time for a change to me.

Agree 100%. Until we get a coach to commit to stay, which Fox has done, and improve our facilities (which we are still way behind), we are never going to be a consistent winner. Fox has probably plateaued, although I’m hardly a BB expert. The irony is we have a great fan base and great recruiting region. I just don’t get it. Fox deserves credit for what he has done. What I don’t want is a cheating scandal which gives the NCAA license to start digging around Athens.

Did you offer him the position? Tell him we put a fancy scoreboard in.

Of course I was shocked to see him for the 20 second ride and someone else had engaged him in a conversation. I was standing next to him looking at the floor when the guy said his name. I thought about saying something like “Would love to see you come back to UGA”, but was afraid it might be awkward if he was friends with Fox. He looked great, does not seem to age much.

Edit, my wife now tells me the other guy had stated “would love to see you come back to UGA” and he just kind of smiled.

Not exactly your typical football coach's wife in terms of basketball IQ, but fair point!
