Not to just bash the NCAA, but... let’s bash the NCAA since they s uck and deserve every bit of it. When programs like Auburn and UNC get caught cheating and get a pass while others are doing it the right way and getting the crap beat out of them, it begs the question: what’s the point in doing it the right way? I want to win, but I want to win the right way. But you can’t have shoe money, agents, fake classes all being exposed at certain “untouchable schools” without any accountability. It’s an unfair league.

Sweeping Florida this year felt good. Everything else, not so much.

This year basketball team is as bipolar and Richt’s last years teams at Georgia were.

It really has been a weird year. We play horribly for a while then we beat a tournament team. We have definitely had some big wins this year, and the SEC is a lot tougher than it has been in years. While I don’t think firing Fox will change much, keeping him certainly won’t change things for the better either. What’s to lose?

I know we have been talking coaching change and been talking about mediocre team. I think Georgia has another plan. After reading this yahoo article. It might lead to the reason why fox is still coach and going to be at Georgia for the next couple years. Also we might be thankful that Fox is our coach after reading this article.

Wow. Can't wait for that to come out. In the meantime, I think I have been softening my stance on coach Fox. UGA has several very talented young players on this squad with the highly rated recruits coming in next year. That's a very nice core and with the sweep of UF, I'm thinking give him a shot next year. If he flops, what's the downside? Make the change then and we wouldn't be considered any more of bad program than we are this year. I'm also thinking we need a point guard quite badly.

Fox will not be back next year... he already knows... not my opinion.

I would add that making a coaching change when you may hire a replacement who then gets exposed in an indictment would be a disaster. We should wait it out now that I see the Yahoo article unless we are confident a replacement is clean. Thanks for the post.

I’m in a wait and see approach. All we know is we can be on top of college basketball when it’s all said and done.

9 years of awful mediocre basketball is all I need to see. If someone can give a good reason for Fox to keep his job please do because he certainly hasn't won enough big games in my mind. Certainly two NCAA appearances and losing in the first round both times shouldn't keep your job unless you like an average program. Time for UGA to step up and get serious with Basketball and hire the right guy.
