Yea, Radi loves his "We told ya so's" and taking any opportunity to dress down the collective fan base for differing opinions.

So I'm aware that Wren is super fast(track guy). I looked him up awhile back when I heard his name come up and well..I didn't specifically put in Hudl but...lots of 100m track stuff are mostly what comes up.

Could be great. But we were just talking in another thread about instate guys. Are there not any fast track guys instate who we might have to fight off Tech and Georgia State for or do we need to get one out of NO?

Yes, I'm a broken record but I'm down with Justin Robinson, another guy who we apparently see more in than the recruiting services. We also didn't steal him from ASU/Houston and I've heard good things from people who have seen him.

@SoFL_Dawg said that you can't teach speed which is true, but there have been plenty of fast guys who couldn't learn to play WR well, particularly track guys. I don't think anyone, myself included knows much on this guy: I heard Mecole from one guy and Imac from another. Mecole was a 5* and Imac, I love him, but he's a guy we remember as Dawg fans, but noone else does.

I don't get it, but I'm not getting paid the big bucks. I'm aware I'll get crap for saying that, but if this was any other position that we were competing for a 3* against basically noone for when there's other guys still out there, it would raise more eyebrows.

Speaking of WRs, the Rivals UGA guy brought up Xavier Henderson out of Miami as a possibility. Are we talking to him?

@scooterdawg I think Clemson is the current leader

Who is Wren? I must be missing something.

Similar thoughts. I am wary of "Athletes" and in many ways prefer positional specialists even if they don't have quite the same talent. Don't get me wrong but even Mecole, who was exciting to watch, could get under the ball and had good hands but I recall few if any times he went up in traffic and came down with the ball. That to me makes the difference between a good and great receiver.

For that reason Johnson and Carr may prove a better fit than Gilbert and Washington except in our pursuit for #1 class ranking. I will be happy if we get any 2 of the 4, after all the purpose is to win the games not the recruiting battles (although talent certainly helps).

He's a really fast WR out of New Orleans. Only a 3* so not a lot of attention from the sites near as I can tell. Runs track. I think Jeff had a blurb in his info dump thread.

Yeah, I looked him up on 247 and saw he was CBed to Clemson but it was Jake Reuse who brought him up so I was curious.

@scooterdawg he is also the brother of Flerda CB CJ Henderson so they might be into it too

Are we saying this Wren guy is going to commit to us? I trust our staff, but why th are we going after a 3* at this stage of recruiting? Does that mean we’re no longer favored for Rosemy and Henning?

Trusting staff as usual here. If they want Wren then I’m 100% behind it. Sure seems like Henning is a really high quality, talented kid with character who fell in love with the program though. I’d hate to see the staff pass on him.

It’s possible Henning is passing on us.  Hard to believe, I know lol j/k.  We’ll see though and if it happens we’ll discuss why.

If we’re settling for a 3* this early in the cycle, I just wish that it was an in-state guy who grew up wearing the power G on his shirt. I think that’s why everyone is ok with Justin Robinson being ranked where he is.
