Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I think a lot of people are missing the fact that what was shared here earlier wasn't from a "paid" reporter, it was from another message board poster who just happens to be an insider. But he gets no money from sharing his info. He's just that boards version of SoFL -- a knowledgeable member.
I personally don't get bent out of shape when known info us shared. If someone wants it kept super secret, then don't tell anybody, PERIOD.
I visit for recruiting news and all other Dawgs discussion. If finding out some info early bothers some people, then don't look. <shrugs>
Good point. I've just seen how important it is.
It'll be important to my daughter when she decides where she wants to play softball - and no one outside of family will care.
And it will be important to my son - when possibly more people will care.
I'm just saying it's important.
But I seem to be fighting too many battles on here tonight.
We didn’t lie to Felicia but he still felt jilted. He was expecting to be elevated to the starting job when he was told he’d be given an opportunity. If there is a fear of immaturity if that happens with any kid the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. If we tell someone they will compete and they get passed over it’s suddenly the coaches fault for the kid not starting when in reality he never should have been in that position or he lost out to someone more talented.
Not going to quote anyone, as the mood tonight seems particularly sensitive...
Imagine you, as an adult, applied for a job at a Wall Street firm. You want to be a trader, but the professionals there think it best for you AND the firm to be a financial analyst. Just to get you to come work there (because you graduated at the top of your Biz School class) they told you what you wanted to hear, with full intention to give you spreadsheets instead of one of those cool coats the traders wear. Would that be cool? How would that make you feel? Would you tell your friends to work at that company?
I recruited to join the military,. One branch lied to me about what I would be doing and I found out. The other, based upon my testing told me what I would be doing, and kept their word.
I tell anyone who will listen to not trust the first branch. That's how that works, IMHO. Go Dawgs.
P.S. Don't be a Thunder Stealer. How'd you like it if I told your kids you were taking them to Disney Land instead of you if I found out?
I am off my box of soap now.
SoFlo am I reading this post correctly. Lol I know this is an impossible question for you to answer, but I deciding I'm not reading it correctly. Nm
Hell yeah it’s important, and I think it’s cool for football players that their college choice is celebrated by a fan base unlike almost everyone else that is lucky enough to go to college
I'm saying The Wall Street firm should let you start as a trader, and then let you either figure it out and prove everyone wrong, or let you move to analyst on your own.
Great post
@AnyUpdatesonRingo?
Hmmm...depends on how you read it.
Who’s excited about our future and what the staff is doing to make sure we are relevant every year? We recruit to be relevant, we come to this board and discuss how the staff is keeping our team relevant. Let’s focus on that instead of having keyboard wars behind a screen and appreciate that we love UGA and how relevant we intend to be for the foreseeable future in this thread. Opinions are welcomed but I encourage to start another thread when intense disagreements/arguments take over so we can come to this one for excitement and updated recruiting info.
My stats say I’m new , but I’ve been visiting this site for a couple years before I was forced to account for myself.
Its a great board here for sure , I just chimed in because somebody contributed info of the kind we all come here for , and he was piled on pretty good because he didnt do it right I guess. Nobody else was taking up for him so I thought this is a good time for my first post.
I like to argue a bit so the powers that be may regret forcing me to register !
Who are the kids in this scenario?
I started in one direction , was sent in another direction, but then got detoured back to my initial dir. So I guess I did a 360
If he was rated as a WR he would drop out of the top 100. The time to be honest with him is now. If he wants to play WR let him go elsewhere. To me I am not sure I would even take him as a TE at this point as I would have doubts about his commitment to the position. With our higher level of recruiting we will have more and more players leaving early. Remember 3x25=75 so we can't afford to also have players leave because they are not 100% sold on addressing our needs. I would rather have a player rated 50-100 in the 247 who is a team player rather than a 5 star who we have to accommodate in order for him to come here. This Dawg thinks the tail should be the one that does the wagging not the other way round.
