Ok since this is where you want to be when Jesus comes back, let's take this ride. Remember that you pulled this card not me. I understand numbers and I understand percentages. Do you understand soccer camps? These guys have been groomed since the ages of 4 to play soccer. Those same kids are put through grueling tests of will against professional players. The cream that rises is just that, the cream. The fact that the white population couldn't surpass the players on this WC team has more to do with them than the players. They were just that good and represented their country, whether they are products of American immigrants means nothing. So save it
Second, race has everything to do with the mindset and nothing to do with liberals or conservative. Conservatives have come to the defense on the minorities just like the Liberals, some more than others. The fact you want to place sides on an inherited problem in this country says more about your character than which side is right. You drank the separation koolaid that this administration has served. Our problems( racism, sexism, classism, and etc) are just that, our problems. Not just one side. And if you dont get it then that's on you to learn.
Lastly, stay with talking about the team. Nobody came to this forum to see us go back and forth over non team issues. If you want to hash this out the DM me. I will gladly rip you a new 1 in the privacy of your messager and call it a day. I'm not Liberl or conservative. I'm an American and the issues I feel strongly about I will speak and vote for. You want to attack me or others about that then you are the real threat to our democracy because you are splitting us up when we should be coming together. Now grow up, talk to a neighbor with opposite views as you, or read a book. Educate yourself before you speak. It makes you look weak. Dm me and don't quote if you want more of the same. If not, good day sir.
LOL, you’re crazy man. I mentioned something **** some guy at a bar said to me. And you jumped in saying he was right posting a link that said nothing about why the French have so many blacks on their soccer team... But this is my card. I like forced you
The only reason whether or not they are American immigrants matter is because that was what the **** guy at the bar said to me that was so dumb. The rest of this stuff is you throw up a bunch of non-related stuff that I half agree with/half don’t care about/half think you’re making a bunch of assumptions about stuff I never said.
I already explained to you I don’t think the black guys were inferior players. They obviously weren’t. But you’re still running around making some point about how those guys earned their spot. Nobody said they didn’t.
Here let me make it easy on your. If you want 5o go further on the subject, DM ME. If not, I'm moving on because you hold no merrit to why the French team won over Coratia. With that said, good night sir.
I could care less if we go further or not. It’s just funny watching you try to make something a racism issue... You even managed to throw a veiled Trump reference in there, not calling him a racist, but something about some “separatist” issue or something.. Just weird man.
I like watching the US Women's National Team play. The Men's team is terrible. They are an embarrassment.
Agreed. It’s embarrassing that a sport-crazy nation of 300,000,000 people can’t field a competitive soccer team capable of beating Trinidad and Tobago and Panama.
Trying to understand how someone could suggest that France's soccer success is somehow a result of post-WWII American immigration. Hilarious.

"Sixteen of the 23 players on the team come from families that recently immigrated to France from places like Zaire, Cameroon, Morocco, Angola, Congo or Algeria."
France is simply going out and recruiting elite players from other countries and granting them citizenship so they can play on the national team.
Sort of like "merit based" immigration? Hmmm.
US has recruited players too. Unfortunately, they're just the leftovers from Germany (when Klinnsman coached). They were dual-citizens who never lived in the US, but had a parent from the US. Several didn't even speak English. Many teams grant players citizenship to get them on their national teams. You can only switch nationalities once though, so that keeps players from floating around too much.
Can you get an NCAA waiver and transfer more than once?
I think so, but you just have to sit a year out each time.
Yeah, but I probably should have gone easier on @BrooklynDawg. He’s always been a fine contributor in the past and I hope he decides to continue to.
Internet message boards aren’t an exacting communication media. And he read what I said and probably just thought I meant something else. Most likely something he had heard somewhere on the educational Mecca of cable news... But it’s not like I haven’t myself done something like that before. We all have our quirks here and there.
