And again, it told me I didn't have permissions to post. Here's what I tried to post there....

UGA has a LONG history of great kickers.

I remember when Rex Robinson was finishing his senior year and everyone was questioning what was gonna happen next. Robinson was a 3 time all SEC First Teamer and 2 time Playboy All American. He wrote the record book for UGA kickers. He hit 2 57 yarders his senior year.

We were worried about losing him.

Then we started hearing about this guy from Redan High School that had kicked 50 yarders with both feet.

Kevin Butler went on to break all of Robinson's records. Butler is still the only kicker in the CFB Hall Of Fame.

    Marshall Morgan

    Blair Walsh

    Brandon Coutu

    John Kasay

The list is truly impressive. UGA has rarely had a season without a great kicker in my lifetime. I remember all these guys.

Then we get "Hot Rod". He was pretty good, then he got the opportunity to work with Kevin Butler. As a "Grad Assistant", I think Butler took Rodrigo to the next level.

I've seen lots of film on Zirkel. He has the leg, and he has the attitude. That attitude is something special for kickers. It's all about "Clear the mechanism". Lock in, and do your job. He's good, and he's the right kind of good.

Yes, we do have a question at the PK position, but UGA has responded to that same question with resounding results for 4 decades that I know of.

Zirkel is the next great kicker at UGA. I'm confident he won't take long to show all of us.

Not sure what that is all about. I’m not an admin but maybe double check your email to see if it’s asked you to confirm anything. Otherwise I have no idea

Odd that it lets me post in this thread, but not in that one. That's not likely an issue with my membership and e-mail.

Welcome to the board OD. I made a similar comment about UGA kickers on a different thread not too long ago. Here's a link to the discussion.

@OldDevilDAWG Good to hear you mentioned Willie McClendon. I too enjoyed watching him run. As you probably know he had a 4 year NFL career but it was behind Walter Payton.
