Nothing special, but I wanted some comfort food after this weekend. Told/ asked kindly with a southern please the wife/ roommate for some homemade chili. She didn’t fail.

I agree with FirePlug. Chili is not a fancy man dish. It is a common man dish.
Why would you stew a more expensive cut of meat for an hour and cover it with all kinds of heavy spices?

Never had a Tecate. When I’m with My border brother homies out here, it’s usually Modelos or just plain old Bud.
I brought a filled growler of IPA to my buddy Oso once. He tried it and gave it back to me.
I can drink anything but a stout, or a sour with Chili.

I do an “over the top” chili. I smoke the chili with the meat and bacon sitting on top so all the drippings drip into the chilli, once the meat is done I break it up into the chilli and put it back on the smoker
