Married to a barrel racer. Their not as wild as you would think. Your friend should have worn her knee protection WC.
I prefer to bring a gun to a sword fight myself.
The 2 black knight fighting scenes in Monty Python and Holy Grail are classics
There it is! I knew someone would mention the most epic battle of all time.
I did on the first page of the thread, but I don't think it clicked with some.
I stand corrected @ghostofuga1 , apologies for your flesh wound.
We'll call it a draw
I thought of another little gem. The 13th Warrior. There is a fantastic scene where a sword fight happens. Using strategy, the guy lets this giant kick his but and look like he's going to win... until he doesn't. They explain the psychology of why they do this at the end of the scene. Great part of a highly underrated movie.

That was in the Michael Crichton book as well that the movie was created from "Eaters of the Dead"
Nice, I never knew that. The story behind that movie is fantastic. Makes sense it would come from a good book.
Crichton was awesome. Almost all of his books are great. Many were made into movies.
The Andromeda Strain (1969)
The Great Train Robbery (1975)
Congo (1980)
Sphere (1987)
Jurassic Park (1990)
Rising Sun (1992)
Disclosure (1994)
The Lost World (1995)
Airframe (1996)
Timeline (1999)
Prey (2002)
State of Fear (2004)
Next (2006).
Among others.
He always had a great story and solid scientific knowledge (being an MD helps I guess), my only complaint was he didn't always figure out a great way to end the story. The Great Train Robbery is an underrated movie as well with a great cast.
Agree 100% with everything you said. I would add that the books, as always, are better than the movies. This is true even with Jurassic Park.
Agree on Jurassic Park, but that book and movie are significantly different. The movie is a more visual experience, the book is a little darker and some of the characters less likable.
The Zoro movie with Banderas in it has a nice sword fight also, where he strips down Kat Z
