Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Bankhead Beverages in Carrollton Ga.
only 4 hours and 5 minutes away!

@tfk_fanboy Midleton is the best Irish I've ever had but it's hard to find under $200. I usually drink Jameson which is around $20. Bushmill's 10yo is around $40. If you want something a step above that, I like Redbreast 12yo which is around $60.
yeah $200 is more than I would be comfortable paying for something I'll just drink ha
redbreast 12 is one of the few I have had and I love it. I looked at the bushmills 10 in the store a few days ago. so that is worth picking up?
I don't love Bushmill's but I have an Irish buddy who claims that's what real Irish people drink. Since whiskey is always a matter of personal taste, it's probably worth a try. (Maybe a short one at your local watering hole, before you invest in a bottle.)
good point
Ok, so this is a good thread that quite a few members enjoy posting on. No reason to let it start going in a different direction. I deleted some post for the reason to keep it a good thread that others will keep enjoying.
what is your favorite bitters to use for old fashions?
that is my go. I like it way more than angostura
Picked up a bottle of weller SR and smooth ambler contradiction for a total of 70 dollars today
How do you like the Weller SR? Just read up on the Smooth Ambler Contradiction, sounds very interesting!!!
Just picked this up
They had Masterson's 10 year rye but I usually avoid Canadian stuff
Apologies for the slow response Kelly, have been in backcountry past few weeks with limited cell service. Yes, Basel is a KY bourbon.
Talked a buddy into *Basil* tonight. Bartender could not find Basel. I bet it's the best ever
He really enjoyed it. First whiskey on ice. I stand by thinking it's a great but overpriced smooth introduction to whiskey straight. Lacks flavor and punch but it's clean and non offensive
