@Bankwalker as long as you are not in West Texas then you are probably fine. West Texans tend to like things that need fuel.
But after you buy one - let me know how the next season of the Bachelor turns out.
@jay_kubzz that’s a mower!!! I also have a zero turn, hard to cut 2 acres with an electric.
@Bankwalker I think an electric mower would be fine as long as you can offset it. Like if you drive a Prius don’t get an electric mower. Lol
Ha! I’m not the guy on my street that is known for caring what people think. My comments were definitely tongue in cheek, and come from seeing people dragging an extension cord around behind their lawnmower. That is simply not a very good look - at a minimum.
If you drive a Prius, you should not drive a Prius
Wish we could vote up twice.
im a scag man myself. I have the turf tiger and haven’t jumped to the turf tiger II yet.
Boy, you’re not lying about that, @texdawg !
If my running buddies saw me come home with an electric mower, I’d never hear the end of it!
That said, if you can be done cutting in 15 minutes, @Bankwalker , sounds like it would be a good choice.
What’s wrong with your garage/shed smelling like gas? I don’t think I’ve ever owned one that didn’t smell like gas! 😎
Electric lawn mowers are for people who prefer to sit down to pee. Give me noise, grease, flammable liquids, and something to cuss at when I'm working on it.
I don't have any experience with the electric mowers but I have a 58 volt Echo chainsaw and it will cut anything a gas chainsaw will. It lasts a pretty decent time to.
I don't have an issue with electric anything, a Prius could be gas powered and would **** either way. Apparently you have drive 15 miles under the speed limit and brake going uphill in one. They look like they're from a knock off toy set.
At one time I worked at a large home improvement store. We sold an electric model. One.
I never tried an electric. The reviews seem pretty good, but in North Georgia we have mostly bermuda and fescue. When it rains a lot or just in general, the grass gets thick. My gas mower has nearly 7hp and it is under full load when mowing under these conditions. I'd be very surprised if an electric mower could get through it.
I have an EGO 56v. Works great. Pretty good power. Cost $450 tho. The weirdest part is the quiet.
